Kansas City Cricket league 2015 could not have asked for a better start than the nail baiting finish between BADSHAWS and DRAGONS in the opener. Both the teams have given every bit of it until the last delivery, but at the end BADSHAWS were able to hold their nerve and win the context by 2 runs.Captains from both the teams led the way in able to contain the opposition batsmen not able to score as much as they would have liked and set the tone up for a tight finish.

Having won the toss, Dragons have chosen to bowl first and got the breakthrough in the first over itself. Badshaws were more cautious after the first wicket and tried to tickle the score board. Yasir Munir looked composed at one end and got odd boundaries. Badshaw's Innings took some momentum when Harris Baig launched a six over long-off, but his innings has been cut short soon after by Captain Nitesh Poladia. He has hit decent line and length through out his spell and made run scoring very difficult. But, having realized the importance of putting a decent total to defend, Badshaw's middle order tried rotating the strike as much as they can and kept on pushing for frequent singles. But, Nitesh has struck in successive overs and removed Yasir, who was looking very good and put brakes on Badshaws innings. After Yasir got out, posting a score of above 75 looked unlike, but Asif has hit some lusty blows in the 12th over and made sure that Badshaw's were in course for a defendable total. With wickets falling at regular intervals, Badshaws ended their innings at 84/8.

Having restricted the opposition to a gettable target, Dragons innings did not start in the ideal way as they lost their opener quite early in the chase. But, Jehal and Sunil made sure that there were no further immediate wickets and steadied the chase. Captain Omar Saeed has jolted Dragons innings with 2 blows in the same over and accounted for a naught in one of them. With wickets tumbling at the other end, Rishi Kate thought, attacking would be best option to disturb oppositon plans and scored runs at a rapid pace. Inspired by his captain, Asif too took 2 wickets in a single over and that has turned the match completely in favour of Badshaws. The batsmen followed thereafter were not able to cope up with the situation and stumbled in pressure and handed over a 2 run victory to Badshaws. This match marked a remarkable performance from the 2 captains with their skillful bowling and gave the enough spark to the Kansas City Cricket league 2015.
