All teams are expected to play employees sponsored by the respective company only. And the players should have a valid Qatar ID or Business visa
Any player found not under company sponsorship, the whole team would be suspended.
All teams are expected to ensure that their players wear appropriate cricket clothing.
The minimum number of players to constitute a full team is 8. If a team does not have a minimum of 8 players at the field 15 minutes after the starting time, that team will forfeit the game.
Tournament Committee comprises a nominated member from each side. Any disputes, grievances, complaints, etc will be referred to the Tournament Committee and the decisions taken by the committee shall be final and binding.
All the teams MUST play all their scheduled League matches, whether or not they stand a chance of qualifying for the semi-finals, so as not to deprive of other teams of improving their run-rate to qualify for the final or the other players of improving their overall best performance. Any evidence of match-fixing will result in both the teams being debarred from any further participation in the tournament.
The balls will be provided by the tournament organizing committee, and none of the teams will be permitted to bring their own balls throughout the tournament.
Umpires officiating in the tournament are neutral umpires and their decisions are final and non-questionable. It is expected all the players to respect the umpiring decisions without questioning, arguing and making any issues.
It is expected all players to play their matches in good cricketing spirit and to behave graciously both on and off the field.
All teams are kindly requested to ensure that your players and supporters do not drop waste, rubbish, and litter in and around the ground. All litter must be dropped into designated litter boxes or garbage bins provided within the premises.
Tournament Laws and Regulations
Generally, matches will be played under ICC standard laws and rules. Deviations and exceptions are noted under this section.
LBW rule is not applicable. However, it is expected that players will not excessively use legs to cover the wicket.
In the case of excessive use of the legs, the Umpire will warn the player. Further abuse of this stipulation will lead umpires to remove him from batting and order the batting team to send in their next batsman.
All matches will be played from one end. However, Umpires may change their ends after each over.
No ‘free-hits’ will be awarded for ‘No-balls’.
Wicket Keeper is not allowed to move while the bowler is running up to deliver the ball.
Underarm bowling is not permitted.
Illegal or chucking bowling action is not allowed throughout the tournament.
The batsman is allowed to hit the ball twice if he is protecting his wicket with his bat or any part of the body except the hand. However, the batsman may not interfere if the ball is to be caught.
The bowler can attempt to "run out" the batsman (non-striker) at the bowling end if he is trying to steal a run. Advance warning to the batsman is not required.
Minimum 5 bowlers need to use for each innings by the fielding team.
A bowler can bowl maximum 2 overs in 8 over match. 2 bowlers can ball a maximum of 3 overs at the 12 over’s matches.
