Fake Fielding
Fake Fielding
If either leg or main umpire confirms that the fielder faked the fielding to mislead the running batsmen then it would be called no ball along with the runs scored in that ball. Actual ICC rule allows 5 penalty runs but for APL it will be a no ball. No runout is allowed in that case. No free hit for this type of no ball. In addition, the fielder will be given one final warning of the tournament. If that fielder repeats fake fielding again in the tournament then he may be penalized as decided by the organizers. Penalty includes 3 matches ban or eviction from the tournament. Also it goes against the sportsmanship of the team as it is not a fair play.
