AZ Premier League (AZPL) is home for fast-paced, high adrenaline cricketing tournaments that will test cricketing skills and resilience. AZPL Summer tournament is a T20 cricket tournament where teams will play 20 over a side game with hard tennis ball provided by league management.
TOURNAMENT STAGES For AZPL Summer tournaments, all participating teams will play in 3 virtual groups. Each team will play league games in Round Robin fashion with their own virtual group and 2 games with the pre-selected team from each of other 2 groups. In all teams will play 8 games in league stage. Even if teams are divided into 3 virtual groups, they will be ranked against each other in a single ranking table based on the ranking rules mentioned in this document.
At the end of league stage, the teams ranked in top 12 will be divided into 2 play-off divisions as mentioned below. The teams ranked 13 and above will be eliminated from the tournament:

LEAGUE STAGE FORMAT Overs: 20 Overs each innings, Bowler’s Over Limit: 4 overs. Power Play: First 6 overs of each innings. Umpires: 2 (1 Neutral + 1 Umpire from batting team).
PLAY OFF STAGE FORMAT Overs: 20 Overs each innings, Bowler’s Over Limit: 4 overs. Power Play: First 6 overs of each innings. Umpires: Two neutral umpire.
