ABU HALIFA RAMADAN CUP (AHRC) 2022 SEASON 2 (02 Apr'22 to 05 May'22) RULES & REGULATIONS 1 Tournament Shall Be For 35 Overs Per Innings. All Game Rules Shall Be As Per ICC Standard Rules Considering Below Additions. 2 Participating Fees Shall Be KD 50. Payments To Be Made Before 31 Mar'22. Cricket Jersey/Uniform Dress For Players Is Mandatory. Opponents Have The Right To Refuse Players, If NOT In Cricket Jersey/Unifrom Dress. 3 Tournament Shall Be Limited To 16 Teams (4 Groups Of 4 Teams), At 8 Grounds In & Around Abu Halifa, Within A Maximum Of 20 Pre-Registered Squad. Groupings Will Be Done By Lots. 4 Each Team Will Play 3 League Matches (1st 3 Fridays) . Top 2 Teams From Each Group Will Qualify For Knock-Outs. 8 Teams Will Play Quarter-Finals (4th Friday). Winners Of Quarter-Finals Will Play Semi-Finals (1st Day Of Eid Holidays). Winners Of Semi-Finals Will Play The Finals (Last Day Of Eid Holidays). Super Over/Overs To Be Played For All Tie Matches. Super Over Rules Shall Apply. 5 2 New Cricket Balls (Ball-1 & Ball-2) Per Team Per Match Per Innings Are To Be Used. For Super Over/Overs, Used Balls To Be Used. 6 For Every Odd (1, 3, 5...35) Overs (Ball-1) & Even (2, 4, 6...34) Overs (Ball-2) Should Be Rotated Without Fail. If The Ball Is Damaged During Match, Please Use Alternate Cricket Balls As Per Cricket Ball's Condition. 7 The Playing 11 (For Batting Or Fielding) Can Be Utilized Within The 20 Member Pre-Registered Squad, Without Provding Any Reason Or Time Frame. 8 Power Play 1 (10 Overs): (Overs 1 To 10) - 2 Players Outside 30 Yard Circle, Provided 9 Players Are Inside 30 Yard Circle (Including Keeper & Bowler). 9 Power Play 2 (15 Overs): (Overs 11 To 25) - 4 Players Outside 30 Yard Circle, Provided 7 Players Are Inside 30 Yard Circle (Including Keeper & Bowler). 10 Power Play 3 (10 Overs): (Overs 26 To 35) - 5 Players Outside 30 Yard Circle, Provided 6 Players Are Inside 30 Yard Circle (Including Keeper & Bowler). 11 A Bowler Can Bowl 5 Overs Maximum. However The Team Can Utilize 20 Bowlers Too. This Is To Encourage More Participation Of Bowlers. 12 2 Bouncers (Between Shoulders & Head) Are Allowed For Each Over Without A No-Ball. 13 Full-Toss Above Waist Height By Fast/Medium/Slow/Spin Bowlers Is A No-Ball With Free-Hit. 14 Batsman Should Retire-Hurt At 100*. (i.e The First Scoring Shot After 99*). The First Retired-Hurt Batsman/Batsmen Can Bat Again, On Loss Of All The Remaining Wickets. 15 If The Match Is Not Completed Due To Any Reason, Then "http://www.boltoncricket.co.uk/DLcalc.html" Shall Be Used To Determine The Winner, Provided A Minimum 14 Overs Is Completed In The Second Innings. 16 Point System Shall Be 2 For Win, 1 For Tie & 0 For Loss. 3 Points Shall Be Deducted For Every Walk Over. Any Team That Gives Walk Over, Will Not Be Considered For Further Tournaments, In The Coming Years. 17 Its The Responsibiity Of Both Playing Teams To Complete Each Innings Within 3 Hours For 35 Overs Respectively. There Shall Be A Break Of 15 Minutes Between Both Innings. No Break During The Innings. 18 Organizers Will Register Players In The Cricket Scoring App. No Addition Of Players After 31 Mar'22. If Any Player Is Registered With More Than 1 Team, The Player Will Not Be Allowed To Play For Any Team, In The Tournament. 19 All Teams Are Requested To Download The Apps For Scoring For Each Match. 20 The Complete Tournament Schedule, Points & NRR Shall Be Updated By The Organizers Directly Via The Cricket App. Unique User ID With Password Will Be Shared For Each Team. 21 Scoring Shall Be Carried Out By The Playing Teams, Using Own Teams Phones. Organizers Shall Guide & Train The Teams For This Activity, If Required. 22 Trophy For "Man Of The Match" Declared By Captain / Umpires, Shall Be Awarded For All Matches. 23 Trophy With KD 100 For Tournament "WINNERS" & Trophy With KD 50 For "Runner-Up" Team Will Be Awarded. Trophies Shall Be Awarded As Per The "List Of Awards" Declared. If A Team Wins 3 Seasons Continously, Then They Shall Be Awarded The "CHAMPIONS TROPHY". 24 In the Event of A No Show By 1 Team (Zero Playing Members) By Match Start Time, It Will Be Declared As A Walk Over With (-3) Points. 25 In the Event of A No Show By 2 Teams (Zero Playing Members) By Match Start Time, It Will Be Declared As A Lost Match For Both Teams With "0" Points. 26 In The Event Of A Match Not Being Able To Be Held Due To Government Orders, Weather Or Ground Conditions, Points Shall Be Equally Shared. 27 Minimum 7 Members From Each Side Are Required For A Toss, Else The Toss Is Handed Over To The Team With Higher Attendance. 28 In The Event Of Less Than 7 Members From Each Side During Toss Time, The Team With Higher Attendance Wins The Toss. 29 In The Event Of Less Than 7 Members From Each Side During Toss Time And Equal Attendance (Example 1 Each Side) The Teams Shall Toss. 30 Irrespective Of The Number Of Players (Even 1), The Match Needs To Start At The Scheduled Time And Players Can Join During The Match Without Any Time Limit. 31 In The Event Of The Final Points Being Equal Between Teams, NRR Shall Be the Next Deciding Factor & Then Comparison Of Wickets (Against & Then For). 32 Umpiring & Scoring Shall Be Carried Out By Individual Teams. Umpires Might Make Mistakes. Please Forget & Forgive Them And Accept Their Decision As Final. 33 For Any Clarification During The Match, Let The Discussion's Happen Between Captains & Umpires. 34 Toss Should Be Carried Out 15 Minutes Prior To Match Start Time. 35 Contact Details Of Each Team Are Provided. Please Co-ordinate Between Each Teams, During the Week & Re-Confirm Ground & Time Prior To The Match Date. 36 For Knock-Outs, Preference Shall Be Given To Qualified Teams With Grounds, Having Higher Rankings During League Stages, For Ground Allocation. 37 NO CHANGE IN SCHEDULE IS ACCEPTABLE. NO ALTERNATE DAYS FOR PLAYING SHALL BE PERMISSIBLE. DURING RAMADAN PLEASE REFRAIN FROM DRINKING, EATING OR SMOKING IN GROUNDS. 38 Each Team To Bring Their Own Cricketing Kits, Medical Kits & Drinking Water. 39 Considering COVID-19 Still Prevailing, It Is Advisable To Take All Safety Measures While Playing. Matches Stand Cancelled With A Tie, In The Event Kuwait Authorities/Government Declares Sports Not Feasible. 40 AHRC Does Not Take Any Responsibility For Any Unforeseen Events During the Scheduled Matches. In The Event Of Scheduled Grounds Not Being Available, A Tie Will Be Declared For That Match.
