DEEPAK AND HAYTHIM SHINE IN THEIR TEAM'S VICTORY

Group A - Deepak with all-around performance and continuing his magic form hit another half-century which helped Royals chase down the target.

Batting first Markhor batsman Shahzad started aggressively to unsettle Royals bowling who are in hot form and yet to lose a game. Markhor's aggressive approach looked like paid off but 3 quick wickets halted the break on the scoring.

Later on, Khaliq's (23) and Mudasar (39) got Markhor to a respectable total of 127 for 8 in their allotted 16 overs.

Royals back of the victory in the last game and their batsman in top form started in the usual fashion scoring at 10 runs per over. Qasim Khan (2-24) was the only bowler who troubled the home team with his line and length. With no support from other bowlers, Royals chased down the target easily in 13.1 overs with notable contributions from Deepak (50)*, Thaha (28), and Vishnu (18).

Group B - Haythim's game-turning spell of 4 for 27 in a low-scoring encounter fetched IAS an exciting 19-run win over Phoenix Cricket Club in the 3rd week of BCL matches played at Rumais on Friday.

IAS posted 108 for the loss of 9 wickets in their allotted 16 overs, thanks to vital knocks by Zafar (31) and Yasir (19). Vipin with 3-27 restricted the visitors to a below-par score.

In reply, PCC started their inning positively with Aziz & Shefin scoring 21 and 29 runs respectively and looked comfortable to chase down the target. But an outstanding spell of swing bowling by Haythim (4-27) and Ateeq (3-12) choked down the home team which fell short by 19 runs of the target to hand over an easy victory to IAS.
