Bca cricket League organized another great compeition named as Bca Summer League T25 Season 2022 and played through out the rainy season with hardly any games washed out due to rain..At times some games were played in a bit wet condition but No injuries caused and the competition went through neck to neck to a Great Grand Final. " Every League a New Champion " On 2nd of October , 2022 BCA Oval was in its usual picturesque glory, as the rain Gods relented after a week of heavy rain with kind weather. The two Finalists , Sea King CC and Mahidol CC took the field. Mahidol captain Naitik won the toss and elected to bowl first with 8 players( well short of a squad of 11) with help from extra fielders, hoping to use the early overcast conditions in favor of his swing bowling and few other bowlers. Seakings started batting with the reliable pair of 2 top quality players Daniel and Rajesh Nair.putting on a solid partnership (cautious by their standards) of 65 runs in 8.3 overs, before Rajesh (28 runs off 21 balls, 3 x 4s; 1 x 6s) perished to Naitik Mewada. Srikanth, the top scorer of the league, joined Daniel in the middle to build together another steady partnership of 61 runs before Daniel departed (54 runs off 49 balls, 6 x 4s; 2 x 6s) being caught at the boundary, with the score at 126-2 in 16 overs. Shoaib Shah fell soon after. Irfan joined Srikanth in the middle and the Carnage of Mahidol bowlers started by Srikanth who literally toyed with the bowling hitting maximums at will hitting as many as 14 six's including 6 in a single over!! Irfan played his part too, playing a little cameo whenever the rare chance to take strike came up. The duo put on a massive 158-run partnership in just 47 balls, taking the game beyond Mahidol CC’s reach. Srikant eventually got out after scoring 157 runs (off 64 balls, 13 x 4s; 14 x 6s) while Irfan was run out for 28 (off 12 balls, 4 x 4s; 1 x 6s). Seaking cc eventually piled up 298 runs in 25 overs and 181 was scored in the last 10 overs. Mahidol CC started brilliantly with their talismanic pair of Naitik Mewada and Naveen Vergis with both going at a great pace and being ahead of the SKCC worm for the most part of first 15 overs. Both the batters benefitted from early chances – fairly regulation catches on a normal day. As a result, the young batters notched up well made fifties with Naveen being the more aggressive of the two. However, with the asking rate steadily climbed above 15 runs per over,. Anirban 'Ringo' in his first over, removed Naitik, beaten by the flight and spin and was swiftly stumped by keeper Irfan Memon. The massive partnership was finally broken with the score reading 143-1 after 16.3 overs. After Naitik’s departure, the life was snuffed out of Mahidol’s chase. Nirucha tried to keep up the tempo but was soon out caught in the deep, off the bowling of Prashant Yadav. Naveen however continued playing his aggressive mode, refusing to give up and notching up a brilliant century. Finally, he fell to a catch in the deep, off the bowling of Anirban ‘Ringo’ . Qamar picked up another wicket in the dying overs. Mahidol CC finally ended at 249-4 in their stipulated 25 overs, a more than respectable score on any given day, against a strong opposition Sea Kings cc was crowned as the New champion winning the tall Championship trophy or The Prestigious Bca Cup.
