Bangkok cricket Association-Samutsakhon( BCA) is ready to launch its summer Leagues from 22nd/23rd April ,2023 subject to teams availability. 10 teams are paricipating in this upcoming league which will be T25 format and will be played by top cricketers in Bangkok. This will be round robin competition and every team will play against each other at least once. Top 4 teams will be qualified to play 2 semi Finals and the winners of 2 semi finals will play the grand Finals. To qualify to play in semi Final/Grand Finals , a players must have played at least 2 league games prior to this final stage of Semi/Grand Finals. Our goal is to finish the league within July 2023. Basic rules of cricket are being followed and well known to all who have been playing at Bca. 2 power plays will continue to be in use as our previous leagues. 1st power play 6 overs where only 2 players can stay outside the circle .2nd power play is for 2 overs and should be taken by the batsman any where from 7th to 18th Over or else it automatically forced in 19th and 20th Over with 2 fielders outside the circle. Regular overs -4 outside the circle and from 21st to 25th Over 5 fielders outside the circle. As it is summer and could be bit warm , there will be 2 water breaks on the field after every 10 overs.Quick Water service after every 5 overs during changing ends is permitted .Umpires can take decisions. We are giving some exceptions for clubs having 2 teams or a team in Premier division and a team in Challengers Cup division. No premier teams players are allowed to play in the Challengers Cup division where as maximum 2 players from Challengers Division can play maximum 3 games in Premier division by supporting the team feeling shortge of players. Conditions apply- They are not in top 7 players which will be decided by the League management.If the Premier division teams have enough players then they play their regular registered players. Maximum players allowed in team rooster is 30. A player cannot play for 2 different clubs. Game schdules and playing hours - All games will be scheduled and posted on website.Making Changes will be difficut unless a prior notification is sent. League management decides the changes in schedules. The league and umpires will be strict with games hours or time required to play a game. It is 25 overs game and teams must finish their innings within 2 hours. Delay will result in fine . Umpires will inform teams before the start of the games. For example Slow run rate will end up with less players out side circle in last 5 overs.. Delay in toss or start of match could result in losing the toss and reduction of overs for teams and penalty of runs to the team at fault.
