Before a Game 
Please see also procedures for change of match conditions. (Remember any changes you may request have to be received by 
the other team and TOC 7 days before the scheduled game). 
1. If a game is played at a neutral venue, the team closest to the neutral venue will be the designated home team. If home 
team or the visiting team has any questions, please contact TOC. 
2. The home team should provide the visiting team with directions to the Ground; assist with directions to Gas Stations, 
Food Outlets, and Restroom Facilities close to their ground. 
3. The home team and visiting team will supply contact information where they can be reached on the evening or morning 
of the match. 
4. The Home team will check the suitability of their Ground for play if there has been overnight rain and advise the visiting 
team of ground conditions before the visiting team travels. 
5. If the ground conditions do not permit play on the given day, the match will be abandoned. In such situations the points 
will be split between both the teams. For re-scheduling info refer to Tournament Details Sec. Item No. 12.
6. If the ground conditions are wet, and further rain would not permit a match to take place, or further rain is expected, 
(greater than 50 %) teams traveling over 1 1/2 hours will have the option to not travel and the match will be 
rescheduled. For re-scheduling info refer to Tournament Details Sec. Item No. 12.
7. Teams traveling less than 1 ? hours will be expected to report to the ground unless conditions on the morning of 
the game have deteriorated and advised not to by home team. In that case, the game will be rescheduled. For rescheduling info refer to Tournament Details Sec. Item No. 12.
8. No game will start in the inclement conditions risking injury to any player(s)

1. The official start time for all Games is 10:00 am/2:00 pm. The respective teams and umpire(s) can mutually agree to 
start at a different time. If the teams disagree then 10:00 am/2:00 pm is the start time. 
2. Hosting teams has the responsibility of notifying start times to the Neutral Umpire if designated or Group coordinator for 
the game. Both teams and the Neutral Umpire will show up for a scheduled game at least half-hour before the game 
begins. 
3. The Home Captain will make the visiting Team and Neutral Umpire aware field boundaries, distinct creases, and 
markers for wide balls for both right-handed and left-handed batsmen. 
4. Teams will exchange Team List before the match starts. 
5. Traveling teams should be aware of travel times and any ?road construction‟ before they travel. In the event of an 
accident or unforeseen delay, they will inform the home team, neutral umpire and, and scheduler of their expected 
delay. They will be expected to fully account for the reason of their delay, place, and time that they were delayed to 
their scheduler in their match report. 
 
Game Rules, Delays & Penalties
The No-ball rule 
1. BG-T20 will continue to follow the International Cricket Council (ICC) rules for what is considered as a no-ball. 
2. The ?one bouncer over the shoulders allowed per over? rule will BE followed. 
3. A bouncer over the head that did not touch the batsman's bat or any part of the batsman's body will always be called 
Wide.
4. A bouncer over the head that hit the batsman's bat or any part of the body will be called a No-Ball. 
5. All Batsmen are urged to wear protective equipment to minimize any cricket related injuries. 
6. Please see the support document ?No-Ball ? The spirit of the law? for some excerpts from the no-ball rule and the spirit 
it should be applied in 
Free Hit Rule: For a front foot no-ball, the next delivery is deemed as a 'free-hit' - meaning the batsman can only be dismissed 
in ways that he could've been dismissed on a no-ball?even if the delivery for the free hit is called a wide ball. The free hit is for 
whichever batsman is facing it. Field changes are not permitted for free hit deliveries, unless there is a change of striker. The 
umpires will signal a free hit by (after the normal No Ball signal) extending one arm straight upwards and moving it in a circular 
motion EG: If the batsman is caught on the free-hit ball, then he is not out. If a batsman is, run out (which is one of the legal 
ways of getting out on a no-ball), on the free-it ball, however, he is out! 

Delay in League & Knock-out Match Start Times 
1. The Neutral Umpire will have the authority to reduce the no. of overs as penalty if he finds any of the teams 
caused a delayed start. NU will also have the authority to reduce the total no. of overs for the game.
2. Definition of Delay 
The following restrictions will apply to the teams for league games 
a. A Team captain must be ready to toss 15 min prior to the official match start time, as described in the 
Match Start Times? section. eg. if the start time is 10am, the captains must be ready to toss at 09:45am 
i. If both teams are delayed (and not ready to play ? see Minimum Players Section), then the official match toss 
time will be immediately when one team is ready to play. 
b. If a team is not ready to play (minimum number of players not dressed in team colors and ready to play ? 
see ?Minimum Players? Section to details), then the team is considered late and may be subject to penalties (details 
in ?Penalties? section below) 
c. If a team captain is not present for toss 15 min after the official Match Start Time, their team will be penalized. 
d. If both the teams are NOT ready to play 60 min after the match start time(and no attempt has been made to 
reschedule or inform TOC of a desire to reschedule), then the match will be abandoned. 
i. In these circumstances, TOC reserves the right to penalize one or both teams as it sees fit. 
3. Penalties: The following penalties will apply to the teams for league games 
a. If a team is ready to play only 15 min after the official Match start time, but before 60 min (1hr after the official Match 
start time), then the offending team will be penalized 2 overs for every 15 min of delay

c. If a team is not ready to play from even after 60 min (1hr after the official Match start time), then the offending team 
will forfeit the game.

Blue Grass T20 Cricket Tournament Rules & Regulations (BG-T20)
 
Tournament Information 
The Blue Grass T20 Cricket Tournament is the pre-eminent cricket tournament in the Tri-State Region. The Tournament 
Organizing Committee (TOC) of the Blue Grass T20 Cricket Tournament 2012 is made up of volunteer members from 
organizing club, FCC. The Tournament Organizing Committee (TOC) will be the final authority on all matters regarding the 
Tournament. The decisions of the TOC are final and binding to all participating teams. The Tournament start date is August 
25th, 2012. The Code of Conduct, Rules, and Regulations of the Blue Grass T20 Cricket Tournament will govern the actions of 
each member the participating teams. Any contravention of these rules should be brought to the prompt attention of the TOC. 
Each team participating in this tournament is responsible for knowing, applying, and upholding the tournament rules, and Code 
of Conduct. The Tournament Organization Committee (TOC)?s decision is final. 

Tournament Fees 
The following is the breakdown on the tournament fee structure: 
Tournament Registration Fee: $150 (should be sent at the earliest possible) 
A check for the entry fee plus should be made out to ?Chandra S Julakanti? and mailed to 111 Locust Ridge Rd, Frankfort, KY ? 
40601.

Tournament Details
1. Every team will play 6 league games in 5 weeks starting 08/25/2012 and ending on 09/30/2012.
2. Playoffs will be on Oct 6th  and 7th. Please make yourself available for both days.
3. Prizes will be given to both winners and runners-up.
4. Match balls will also be provided for all games (CA Test Star).
5. A player will be eligible to play in play-offs only if he has played at least 2 league games
6. No Neutral Umpire (NU) for league games as we are playing this tournament for fun and also on trust and respect for 
each other.
7. NU will be provided for playoff games (1 NU each for semis and final?s).
8. If we get too many complaints regarding umpiring about a particular team in leagues, then next year we can have this 
tournament without that team participation. 
9. Schedule will be released by the end of this week. Probably by now everyone would have got another email with a 
spread sheet link regarding your team and ground availability. Also please specify when your team is available to play 
2 games on same weekend in that sheet. Every team has to play 2 games on same weekend at least 1 time. Please 
make sure that your team is available for 2 games at least for 2 weekends so that it will be easy for us to schedule 
games.
10. There will be a committee with all captains/team reps? and they will be responsible for conducting this tournament 
successfully. In case of any dispute this committee will make a decision and if by chance if it doesn't get solved then 
Tournament Organizing Committee will have final verdict.
