Points Tally 1. For any game in the League stage the winning team shall get two points and the losing team gets zero points 2. In case of an abandoned or tied game in the League stage both teams shall receive a point each 3. The run rate shall be calculated by dividing the total runs scored by a team by the number of overs that it played. In case a team is all out before its allotted overs, the run rate shall be calculated by dividing the total runs scored by twenty overs or the Maximum number of overs decided at the start of the game (if not 20).. Game Forfeits & Tied Games Game Forfeits What is a forfeit? 1. Any team that prematurely leaves the field of play without the approval of the umpires and mutual consent of both captains. 2. If a team announces its inability to play a scheduled match and provides less than 10 days notice: If a team cannot play a scheduled match, they are responsible to inform the scheduler and the scheduled opposing team at least 7 days in advance. The scheduler and TOC will try to re-schedule the game to the satisfaction of both teams. If a game is not otherwise re-scheduled and a team has less than seven (7) players ready to play, dressed in Team Colors, the offending team forfeits the game. The penalty for forfeiting a game is as follows: (One or all can be applied to the forfeiting team depending on the situation and circumstances) 1. The team that forfeits a game gets no points while the other team is awarded the win and gets 2 points 2. One point shall be deducted from the overall points of the team forfeiting the match 3. The NRR of the forfeiting team will decrease or added at the end of the leagues by the average of the NRR of the opposing team. Similarly NRR for the opposing team will be calculated by adding or subtracting the average NRR of the forfeiting team. The TOC retains the right to impose further penalties it deems fit on one or both teams to preserve the integrity of the tournament. Rules for Tied Games Tied games in the League stage will result in both teams sharing the points. Tied games in the Knockout stage will be decided using the following tiebreaker rules: - 1. There will be bowl out between the 2 teams a. 5 different bowlers from each team will be allowed to bowl at the stumps and try to knock the stumps over. b. This will be done alternatively between the 2 teams c. After the 5 attempts whichever team has knocked the stumps over more number of times is declared the winner 2. In case the bowl out does not work then, the team that has lost the fewer number of wickets in the game shall win. 3. If the above scenario does not work then if the two teams have played each other in the League stage, the winner of that game shall qualify. 4. In case the 3rd tie-breaker does not work, then the team with the better point record leading up to that game shall be the winner. 5. Else, the net Run-rate differential calculated up to the previous game will be considered and the team with the better RR differential shall win. The RR Differential is calculated as: RRD = Run Rate - Run Rate against 6. If none of the above works, then a coin toss shall be the final tiebreaker. (Rules Continued in Part 4)
