on a team?s roster for the knock-out/Playoff matches.
1. Only those players in the valid roster submitted on time, are eligible to represent their team in Knockout/Playoff games.
2. In addition, ONLY PLAYERS WHO HAVE REPRESENTED THEIR RESPECTIVE TEAMS (PLAYED) AS A PART OF THE
PLAYING ELEVEN (11) FOR ATLEAST TWO (2) ?PLAYED? LEAGUE GAMES IN THE SAME TOURNAMENT, are eligible to
play in a Knock-out/Playoff game for their team.
3. Please see ?Played Game? section for definition of a played game. For games that are abandoned/called off without a ball
being bowled, TOC reserves the right to consider requests from a team regarding the eligibility of a player for knock-out games.
Please note, neutral umpire and roster of names provided to the neutral umpire (or any other incontrovertible evidence, not
limited to the above) will greatly help TOC grant an exception.
4. Players, who have not represented their team (played) as a part of the playing eleven (11), in the requisite number of league
games, are not eligible to play in their team?s knockout matches, except in circumstances where the TOC grants an exception.
5. The TOC reserves the right to grant an exception to the above rule (i.e., allow players of a team, who have not played in
requisite number of league game(s), to represent their team in a knockout game).
6. TOC will consider an exception only when it receives a written (or electronic mail (email)) request from the team?s
representative Four (4) weeks prior to the start of the Knockout/Playoff phase of the tournament.
7. TOC reserves the right to reject any such request (regardless of whether it was submitted in time or not)
Rain Affected Knockout Stage Matches
1. All teams will be expected to be present at ground at appointed time unless informed by a member of the TOC. Failure
to show up will result in a forfeit. For the Tournament Final and all other games in the Knockout Stage, every effort will be
made by the TOC to reschedule the game. If rescheduling is not viable, the game will be reduced to ten (10) overs and played
regardless of weather.
2. If however, the rain delay occurs after the first inning, the Duckworth-Lewis method will be used by the NU to re-calculate the
target. D/L calculators from the Internet will be used for the same.
