Extras

1. Extras will be granted only for Byes, Wide and No ball. Leg byes and LBW are not allowed.
2. On the cone or over the wide line is considered wide

1. A Full toss ball bowled over the batsman’s hip is considered as a NO ball. For this, the ball should have travelled above the waist when the batsmen is in upright position standing in batting crease. This will be Leg Umpire and Umpire’s call to decide if it is a correct ball or NO ball based on the trajectory.

1. The ball bowled over the batsman’s shoulder is considered as a NO ball. For this, the ball should have travelled above the shoulder when the batsmen is in upright position standing in batting crease. This will be Leg Umpire and Umpire’s call to decide if it is a correct ball or NO ball based on the trajectory.

1. Bowlers must bowl within the box.
2. Bowling outside the box is considered NO ball.
3. Short runs are considered as no runs. The umpire and leg umpire are responsible for monitoring short runs.
4. Bowlers should tell guard to umpire when starting a new spell. Between a spell if umpire changes it’s the umpire’s responsibility to ask for guard. It’s not a no ball in that case.

1. It is the non-playing captain’s responsibility to arrange the umpires for the match. Captain should wisely rotate players with his team and maintain umpiring standards.
2. The umpire decision is final. Umpires are not required to engage in conversation with players on decision.
3. Only captains and umpires are allowed to discuss and decide any on the field issues or rules.
4. Team members can appeal but should leave the decision to captains and umpires.
5. No stopping/delaying play after a non-favorable decision.
6. Leg umpire’s responsibility is to observe and do.

• No ball for height
• Assist main umpire on sound of an edge.
• Stumping
• Run-outs at Stricker end
• Short run
• Assist in determining boundaries or Six

1. No overthrow is considered after the keeper/ fielder holds the ball for a while and no action to throw the ball to wickets.
2. The ball is complete when a keeper/fielder holds the ball for a while and passes to other fielder or bowler to continue next ball or next over.
3. Batsman can run and score 1 run if he hit the ball within the grill entrance or outside the grill. Run out is still possible.
4. Batsman can run and take as many runs as they want if the ball pitches within the ground limits and then goes outside (between Grill to Tree)
5. Catches taken on the ‘one-run only’ areas are considered as out.
6. Fielders taking a catch closer to the boundary line should try to stay or mark the spot to avoid confusion.
7. If the ball gets stuck anywhere on the grill after it hits the bat, it is considered a dead ball and re-bowled with NO extra.
8. If the ball gets stuck anywhere on the grill without touching the bat, it is considered as a correct ball.
9. During the powerplay only 3 fielders are allowed to field outside the inner circle. If a 4rd fielder is fielding outside the inner circle the umpire can give it a No Ball.
10. Any over reduction/ related discussion will be between umpires and captains.

• League matches will be 12 overs. In a 12 over match:
  • Maximum two bowlers can be allowed to bowl 3 overs.
  • 3 over powerplay – The first 2 overs are mandatory powerplay. Third powerplay should be taken by the batting team. If the batting team does not take the third powerplay the last over will be considered as third powerplay
• The final match will be 15 overs. In a 15 over match:
  • A maximum of three bowlers can be allowed to bowl 3 overs.
  • 4 over powerplay – The first 2 overs are mandatory powerplay. Third and fourth powerplay should be taken by the batting team. If the batting team does not take the third and fourth powerplay the last two overs will be considered as third and fourth powerplay.
• During the powerplay only 2 fielders are allowed to field outside the inner circle.

1. It's the Captains responsibility to create the fixture at least one day before the match on CricClubs.
2. It's the Captains responsibility to update the playing 8 before each match on CricClubs
3. Both captains or representatives from both teams should be present and set-up the field, it's both captains’ responsibility to nominate peoples to do that.
4. Removing cones will be done by the winning team. Winning Team captain should coordinate that.
5. It is the captain’s responsibility to get a similar alternate backup player if any player is unable to play the match. i.e., a bowler can be replaced by a replacement bowler.
6. The alternate player should be the player who has registered for the tournament. It can be a pool player also. Players who have not registered should not be allowed to play. The exception is when there is no comparable player available in other teams or pool.
7. The alternate player can bowl/ bat like a regular player. So, the playing captain must get the concurrence from opponent captain for the alternate player.
8. Player replacement should be equal or below the category line in the itemized player list for this tournament.
9. Captains should preferably be within the inner circle to better control the on-field discussions and appeal to umpires.

1. It is the players’ responsibility to let the captains know their availability for the matches. At least 2 days in advance.
2. If a player must leave in between the match, then the team can get a substitute player as agreed between both captains. But he can only field but not bat/ bowl.
3. By runner will be allowed for genuine cases provide both captains and umpires agree

1. League matches will be 12 overs.
2. The final match will be 15 overs.
3. Innings break will be 15 mins.
4. Match break will be 15 mins.
5. Teams should be available on time and the match will start exactly at the scheduled time.
6. Batting team to score in CricClubs App (https://cricclubs.com/WCL2023).
7. The umpire will confirm with the scorer and announce the score after the end of each over/wicket. Players from either team should not interrupt the scorer in between overs.
8. Man of the match should be declared in the App after consulting with the winning team’s captain.
9. Leg-Umpire and scorer will sit in the dugout near the restroom area. All other players should remain in the other side dugout area.
10. Last wicket can bat with a runner on other side. Fielders can hit either side for runout.
