Total 16 teams participated in this cricket tournament which ran for 2 days. This is also, to celebrate the Eid Al Adha with mix of nationalities wherein expatriate players from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal participated in this tournament. The final match was played between Doha Revolt Stars and Asian XI team and batting first Doha Revolt Stars scored 93/7 in stipulated 8 overs and chasing the target Asian XI team were able to score 90/5 in 8 overs. Shammad of Doha Revolt Stars was declared man of the match for scoring 31 runs in 16 balls with 2 boundaries and 3 sixes and also claimed 3 wickets in his 2 over spell. From Asian XI the top scorer was Lasantha Fernando with 44 runs in 20 balls with 6 sixes and 1 boundary and he also claimed 2 wickets in his bowling spell. Syed Rafi thanked his committee members, Mohd Irfan, Mohd Atif, Tanwir, Syed Tausif, Ayub, Mohd Farhan, Umair for their immense support towards organising this tournament within just 6 days’ time on a successful note. The 16 teams which participated in this cricket tournament were QBC Rangers, HIQ Cricket Club, Abunakhla CC, United Lanka, MarcQatar, Coastal Kings, Highway Boys CC, Asian XI, Doha Revolt Stars, New Bharat CC, DPS Challengers, Rising Stars CC, Black Tech Boys, Al Meer CC, Massive CC and Aando Team. Syed Rafi thanked all the teams for their trust and confidence in CRIC QATAR and assured them of much better matches in future ahead. |
