- USA cricket is looking to promote grassroots/ youth cricket and has identified 18 states in different zones of the country to be designated as Youth Cricket HUBs.
NC has been chosen as a HUB state as well. - North Carolina Youth League (NCYL) has been formed to administer and oversee the HUB activities.
-
CCA in collaboration with Elite Cricket Academy is also part of the NC HUB committee and hence will have a big role to play in the progression of youth cricket in NC.
- Our goal is to provide an avenue to play competitive games in U11,13,15 and 17 age groups.
- In this inaugural year(2023), the HUB games will be played amongst teams that are constituted from a central pool of players to provide the best experience for individuals.
- Currently the HUB teams are going to be drawn primarily from players registered with various cricket academies in Charlotte, Greensboro and the Triangle area.
- Games will be played at specifically curated grounds in Raleigh, Greensboro and Charlotte.
- All games will be conducted and officiated according to USA cricket regulations.
- Official USA cricket umpires are being sourced for the same.
- Travel logistics and more details will be shared as we are made aware.
- Games are to start tentatively during the first week of May.
