Sportsmanship and Umpire Decisions

Managing a league means struggle between keeping league competitive , low cost and high quality cricket.
Low cost comes at the price of quality sometimes. Getting some professional umpire to watch game is like adding $150 per game to tournament. If you want to keep entry fee for teams low, teams have to accept the reality and manage with someone capable from their respective side to umpire for them. This obviously create some doubts in the fielding side that umpiring decisions can be biased. And sometimes  bowlers think they get the player out but the umpire thinks otherwise. In that scenerio i think teams should go by umpire decision to avoid any kind of conflict. Because in the end quality cricket will win you matches not some kids fight for decision. To avoid these kinds of conflict i think management should make some strict decisions regarding integrity of umpire decision. If someone volunteerd for umpiring the game than he/she should be trusted and always keep in mind Umpire Decision is final decision.

SportsmanShip : Winning a game or not is one thing but winning hearts is the best thing you can do. If you lost the game, dont be disheartened and congratualate the winning team with open hearts. Meeting the winning team forming lineup of team members is true professional and sports spirit. Keep working on your game and enjoy the cricket, one day you will be champion.

Thank you to all the playing teams and players to keep sportsmanship alive. First week of tournament is over. Looking forward to next week games and finals now. Till then ADIOS!!
