2017: Game 5: Allstars vs Kings
Double header morning started with another nice warm morning. Due to dew match was decided to start by 9.20 AM. AllStars won the toss and decided to bat first. Satya bowled almost a perfect opening over. Every ball was either swinging in the air or moving in after pitching at full pace. Second over from Mani was another good one except for one Short legside ball that was used by Parvath to get AllStars going. Satya and Mani bowled another tight over before Siva started his onslaught. End of 5 overs AllStars were playing with above 10 an over. Ominous sign that we are in for a big score, prompting Kings to bring in their next change bowlers Shreyas and Rajan. Shreyas known for his pace and accuracy bowled very good line. But they couldn't  contain Siva from scoring his boundaries. Some clever field placing and bowling for Kings gave their first break through when Debashis bowled Parvath out for 21 runs. Ashly joined Siva and hit a nice pickup six over midwicket. End of 13th over AllStars were at 149. Nadeem came in for for his spell, Siva hit his 9th and 10th six and then got bowled by Nadeem's wily bowling. Then Mani took a very good running catch of Ashly(12 runs) off of Shreyas bowling. Prashanth and Gopi trying to up the runrate were out for some well directed bowling from Rajan. Run rate started to dip a little bit with wickets falling but Gaurav(35 Runs) started hitting flat sixes and took AllStars to 216/6 in 20 overs. Rajan ended with 2 wickets while Siva finished with 114 with 10 sixes and fours.

Kings started with a well known batsmen pair of Nadeem and Debashis. Nadeem hit his customary leg side sixes which were one of the longest. While Debashis played some nice cricketing shots and making sure to play out the pace attack of experienced Chetan. 4th over Asfand with raw pace beat Nadeem to give AllStars their first break through. Rakesh joined Debashis and both looked very comfortable. Rakesh continued his good form and played some nice shots to keep the scoreboard ticking. He specially liked the pace that Bhushan offered and scored some big ones. The usual tidy bowling of Sanath and Bhushan was troubled with the left and right combination. Meanwhile Debashis had to retire with an unfortunate injury. Which brought the dangerous Mahesh to the middle. Sudin came into attack and provided double breakthrough and get inform Rakesh(35 runs 2 fours and 3 sixes) bowled and Mahesh runout to an unfortunate mixup. Dream start for Sudin to pickup 2 Kings wickets plus a maiden over. End of 10 Over and still need about 150 runs. Mani and Singh built a nice partnership with some great shots. Though AllStars bowlers Tarun, Bhushan and Prashanth produced some chances, they were all in vain as AllStars dropped catches. Mani came back into form by scoring 44 from 36 balls with 2 sixes and 3 fours. Singh remained unbeaten at 51 with a strike rate of almost 200 with 5 sixes and 2 fours. Asfand ended his bowling with 2 wickets. While Kings Scored 180 Runs.
