This was a MINI league match between Peoria Blues & Avengers. Reddy- Avengers batsman was given out LBW by the umpire where the ball took a huge inside edge which was pretty loud and clear even outside the boundary line.. Batsman did say it was an inside edge and was not happy with the decision walking back.. Leg umpire was not even consulted.. Next one.. much worse than the previous one.. Amit -Avengers batsman was given out LBW for a ball that brushed his pant sliding down the legside missing the legstump by a foot and wicket keeper collecting it.. Again leg umpire was not consulted.. Another one.. The same umpire was doing a leg umpire role for the second innings.. Appeal was for a runout and leg umpire was busy watching his mobile.. When asked he says 'I DON'T KNOW'.. Its not that umpires have to be correct all the time but atleast pay attention when the match is on and think a couple of seconds before giving out.. Thanks, Ram |
