ECA T20 FREE AGENT REGISTRATION AND RULES

To accommodate team that may be short due to players unable to be there at the start of play, the ECA has put in place a novel plan to facilitate team during the 2023 cricket season. This plan involves a FREE AGENT LIST.

As a registered free agent, a player must pay a fee of $50.00 to the league, to have their name listed on the free agent list.
A free agent may play for any team once requested.
A free agent cannot be registered with a club and be registered as a free agent at the same time.
A player can only be registered once as free agent.
A free agent player cannot exceed 4 games with any one club. If a player wishes to play a fifth game with the same club, his status as a free agent will cease. The player will then be a registered player with that club.
When registering as a free agent, a player will register as a “Batter”, “Bowler” or an “Allrounder”.
If a “batter” is selected for a team, he MUST bat within the first 5 position in the order.
If a “bowler” is selected for a team, he must bowl at least 1 over in the first 10 overs of the inning and at least 2 overs for the match.
If an “allrounder” is selected to play for a team, he must bat within the first six of the batting order and bowl no less that 2 overs for the match. He must also bowl at least 1 over within the first 10 overs.
A free agent cannot play more games than what each club has been schedule for during the regular season.
