Jaguars 2.0 Clinch a Heart Stopper against Rookies:

Jaguars 2.0 had an average outing last season and made few changes in the team, this only proves that they are determined this time. Jaguars 2.0 who won toss decided to bowl first. This turned out to be good decision with dominant performance from batting side by Mumuksh, Sriram, Naresh, Pavan, Venu and Sandeep Molleti. Naresh, Pavan and Sandeep were in real hurry as they scored quick runs with boundaries and sixes. Saying that they had a huge target on board of 151 runs for Wolves to chase, being there first outing in FCA it would be real tough to chase such target considering the pitch conditions for them.
However in response Vijay Adikesavan gave a quick start to Wolves scoring 33 runs, I believe he was the one who gave the confidence to batsmen that they can chase the score as Ganesh and Senthil came in scoring all over the places for 19 runs and 28 runs. It was left to Nirav whether he wants to take his team towards first win or not, as he was in real exceptional form scoring 49 runs out of 25 balls. Here it gets more interesting as the in the end it boiled out to a point where 26 runs were needed in 6 balls having Nirav on strike and Mumuksh bowling. Having experienced bowler in the team gave captain the confidence to rely on him. Normally he is really good in handling this kind of situation by holding his nerves but even a strong player will have a bad day and this time it was Nirav who held his nerves till last ball. Mumuksh finished the game in last ball by taking his wicket after getting hit for 22 runs in 5 balls. It’s hardly been a week FCA started and we are already seeing such thrillers which says how entertaining this tournament has shaped into. A magnificent day of big- hitting inspired by Nirav which ended in a disappointment  finish. Jaguars 2.0 tasted the sweet victory this season. Now the fun begins, let’s wait and see onto whom the Wolves will unleash.

Ailing Raiders Slump Again this time with Jaguars:

Winning toss Jaguars elected to bat, I believe it was third over where Raiders have lost the match with their first drop catch in form Ram K while everyone on field was in shock including me from slips. Though Ram hasn’t put a dent in the innings as his reputation bcz of his finger injury he played an anchor innings rotating the strike and giving license to other batsmen for big shots. Vikrant and Hari was able to go for few biggies but couldn’t capitalize it as they have to return pavilion with 2 bad shots. Before even breathing a sigh of relief watching Hari leaving the ground after getting bowled for Nandan slower ball brings in Mayur who can be considered as tallest player in FCA. Hitting the ball to boundary on 3rd ball he was facing itself was clear enough from his side stating that he wants to go big. However playing on opposite side our main goal was to get his wicket before he does any damage, though couple bowlers created opportunities to get his wicket andd we couldn’t capitalize it. Since then standing at the boundary it was like a  lonely world, waiting for a ball to reach its peak trajectory, hover, then drop, hurtling towards you only thing I was 20 ft away from boundary line. At end of 20th over Mayur destroyed the whole bowling unit of Raiders by scoring 82 runs in 36 balls (5*4 , 6* 9) out of them 74 runs came in boundaries, leading Jaguars to 166 runs.
Now it was Raiders turn to give it back as they are meant to have strong batting line up. In reply Raiders top order crumbled with 3 good balls from Vikrant, Satish and Venkateswararao. Frustrating Faisal who was sending the ball out of the boundaries for almost all good bowlers from jaguars with dot balls by me on other end made him think to grab a quick single which ended up costing his wicket in form of run out. Followed by another miss communication costing my wicket made Raiders lost their hopes in game. As said Raiders has the strongest batting line up, it was Indra and Nazy brothers who brought us back into game. Nazzy and Sharzin were in excellent form hitting the ball and grabbing quick singles which raised the hopes of Raiders again. In end it was our Satish who always takes ball in crunch situations and saves his team. He did it in past with Raiders and did it again but always starts off with a six in first ball to tease the opponents and pulls it off with his slower balls at end. It was a good game to witness as the scoreboard was ticking throughout the game. But for raiders the lesson of the day's play was clear: if they want to beat the best, they will have to improve their catching. While all sides drop catches, Raiders are starting to do so a little too regularly for comfort. They can expect some long fielding sessions in practice sessions ahead third match
