Royals Vs Blazers

Royals make it ten in a Row

Royals took their winning streak in FCA matches to ten; their longest streak as far as I know.

Royals started their innings with a run rate of 10/over and continued to maintain the same till the end of their innings. Royals are one of those teams where all the 11 can score big runs. Even though they lost 2 wickets in power play, Raj (40, 2*4 & 3*6) and Pinak 26 (5*4) added very good partnership of 40 runs. After 116/4 at the end of the 12th over, their middle order played crucial/quick Knocks. Vivek 29(2*4 & 3*6) from 13 balls and Bhaumik 25(1*4 & 2*6) from 14 Balls. When Venkatesh came into bat Royals were 140/4 after 14 royals. Venky smashed fifty from 20 balls with six sixes and two fours on the way to 53. As he headed back to the pavilion, received a standing ovation from the team and he acknowledged by waving the bat. End of 20 overs Royals put a mammoth total of 211.

Blazers, who chased 125 in the last match, started this chase keeping the run rate at 5 an over. Once the openers Riyaz 13(1*6) and Ravi 13(1*4) were taken out by Vivek, the pressure started building on. Sudhakar 16(2*4, 1*6) and Prince 18(3*4) tried to stabilize the innings and when it looked like a partnership was going on, right then prince got run out. That was the moment where blazers lost the game. Blazers lost 4 wickets in 8 balls. Sushil who is highest wicket taker in FCA did it again for royals buy taking 3 wickets. Royals won with 114 Runs.

Venkatesh is the Man of the match for his 50 runs and 1 wicket.
