Challengers Strangle Outsiders on first Outing:

Cricket Cricket Cricket!!!!! Irrespective of hot summer or cold winter we have and love cricket. FCA Fall T20 has started last Saturday with a thriller. Winning the toss Outsiders opt to field which turned out to be an outstanding decision as their bowlers Malli, Sreedhar, Shekar, Sateesh and Murali shared the wickets galore with Sreedhar taking the cherry with 3 wickets. Aakash and Arun tried to gather runs but they couldn’t convert it to big innings. In the end Challengers innings was concluded for 57 runs. One would assume that it will be an easy chase as it is San Jose but the fortune turned so quickly in favor of Challengers. Akash took 2 wickets in first 2 balls of the innings with a lucky run out. Wickets kept tumbling at regular intervals. Their last hope was was Murali and Shekar but they went back to pavilion at a crucial time. At end Outsiders had to surrender for 46 runs. Arun was the pick of the bowler claiming 3 wickets. I am sure Outsiders will come back real strong this weekend against RP Rockers. On other hand Challengers really worked as team without any panic and earned their first win in spite a low score.

Southside clinched narrow Victory:

Jax Titans won the toss and elected to bat. They got off to a slow start but their innings never caught steam with only two boundaries in the entire innings. Southside bowled with discipline and every bowler getting some share of the wickets. Jax Titans were wrapped up for 65. In reply Anji was on a mission and claimed two wickets in first over. Southside were struggling at 19/4 at the end of 5th over. Southside held their nerve to claim first victory against Jax Titans thanks to the responsible innings of Varun. Despite the heroic performance by Anji (4 overs 6 runs and 4 wickets) couldn't provide a victory for his team. It was another close game this weekend with Southside won narrowly.

Superior Kaatans dominates Warriors XI:

By this match I was thinking, what changed that we are having first 2 low scoring games. Was it bigger boundaries? Or Heavier Ball? Or was Pitch providing something to bowlers? Just when I started to think more about this I checked the scores of Kaatans’ innings. Then I concluded that nothing has changed. Kaatans continued their form from the last tournament and scored 142 for the loss of just 2 wickets. Warriors XI won the toss and elected to bowl since they have a good bowling line up who can bowl at right lengths and can take wickets at regular intervals. I still remember last season writing about Rajbabu in each and every match looks like he is continuing the form. Only difference I see now is, last season it was just him and this season I see a potential candidates of Manoj, Sridhar and Senthil. Kaatans top order really opened their arms hitting the ball all over the place scoring 142 runs. In reply Alok started taking wickets without giving a chance to warriors XI to bounce back into the game. Mandar and Ayan gave a good fight but couldn't produce a win. Kaatans will be one team where everyone needs to look out for.  Warriors XI will bounce back strong for their next game.
