Jaguars crumble as their batting order collapsed:
Jax Titans won the toss by elected to bowl, they were successful in getting first 2 wickets in 3 overs of Ram and Gaurav. It was Hari and Praveen who took the responsibility in scoring runs until Hari got out by playing a very wide ball. Jax Titans really opened up and were in full swing as none of the batsmen could score runs thereafter.Jaguars ended up with a total of 80 runs. Anjireddy and Vijay bowled on target by taking 3 wickets each. Anji seems to be supreme form as he is taking wickets consistently. In reply with some outstanding fielding by Bharat and Satish Jax titans lost their opening pair real quick leaving their team in jeopardy. Ram S was on target bowling the right lengths. At one point Jax Titans were struggling at 18/4, this is when Jignesh and Vijay M stabilized the inning. Jignesh scored a responsible 47 runs in 40 balls almost making the whole match one sided. Eventually they chased the target in 16th over. Having Ram, Hari, Satish, Kalyan Jaguars really have the potential to make it big. We just need to wait for the right time for them to bounce back. With new and young players in Jaguars lets hope they will do really good this season.
Ferocious Blues Crush RBCC in first outing:
After exiting from quarter finals last season, I was real curious how Blues will come back. In addition the way they are practicing ahead of each match makes it clear that this time they will not let it go without a tough fight. I wasn’t surprised when Bhagwant choose to bat after winning the toss as his strategy always depend on opposite team stats. Though Blues lost 2 quick wickets of Bhagwant and Mahesh b, Bharath took the steering over by scoring another Ton becoming the only player with 2 centuries in history of FCA. Bharath scored 123 of 57 balls. Every loose ball was shown the way beyond the boundary. In support Ramesh scored 44 runs providing the key support to Bharath. The target was 210 runs for RBCC to chase not sure what was the approach during innings break but for sure it did not worked out their way as it was a huge batting order collapse. They scored a dismal 34 in 20 overs. RBCC will have to take the positives from this match and make sure they put their best performance in next match as they are in need of a win.
Sailesh Powers Raiders to Victory:
It is easy to commit that yes we can play 2.30pm match as a team but it is hard to with stand the humidity. Winning the toss Nazy decided to bat first which kind of took a bad turn as top order and middle order failed badly except Sailesh who stepped up to rescue the team scoring 72 runs with 3 4’s and 6 6’s. In the end Dinesh and Revanth had another crucial partnership with 13 and 14 runs which boosted the score to 149 runs. Good bowling performance by Neeraj, Amandeep, Silus sharing wickets among them. In reply it was Nazy who took Eagles opening pair along with Joy and Faisal destroyed the top order. It was Silus who came to rescue and looked dangerous as he was just dealing with 6’s but had to return pavilion after scoring 21 runs. Raiders was able to wrap up Eagles batting order for 89 runs in 14.4 overs. This group is becoming interesting with more competitive games on their way.
Praneeth saves Kings from close encounter:
To be honest until today morning I was not even aware who won this match as there was some technical difficulty in using the app Saturday morning as live scoring was not provided. Winning the toss Googlies elected to bat where their top order succeeded in giving a good start. With some good knock by Archit, Rajen, Deepak and Bhaumik googlies were able to score 108 runs in 17 overs. I believe umpires really went strict on googlies reducing 3 overs for starting the game late. This is something we all should be looking out for as FCA is encouraging the umpires to enforce this rule. In reply it was Praneeth and Ashok who stood up making sure that their team gets a victory by scoring 50 and 14 runs. It was a close encounter between both teams. For FCA Prem
Challengers bowled Gladiators
Challengers won the toss and elected to bowl first. Gladiators started off well by scoring 10 runs in first over but Dinesh from Challengers proved his Captain's decision good by taking 4 wickets in his first over (2nd over in match) which includes hat trick and finished with a match winning figures of 4-2-10-6. Fielding department has also done well especially Srikar and Nandu's took 3 catches each behind the stumps. I am not sure about FCA bowling records but assuming this must be a record. Gladiators were at 12/7 in 3.3 overs but Ratna rescued them with the help of Mani and Umesh. Ratna Adapa is the lone warrior from Gladiators team who came as opener and was out as last wicket by scoring 21 runs. Gladiators were bowled out for 46 runs in 14.4overs. In reply Srikar and Nandu from Challengers were in a hurry and chased it down in 4.5 overs without loosing any wickets. Srikar scored 29 from 20 balls for Challengers and Nandu scored 11 from 9 balls.Dinesh has been declared as Man of the match for 6 wicket haul (which includes hat trick) and a stunning diving catch in first over.
