River City Premier League - Owner's List and Format

Hello FCA Members,
We would like to take this opportunity and let you all know about the progress we have been making on River City Premier league. We hope you all enjoyed the promotional video and flyers which are in circulation. At this point we have 6 owners registered

As of now we have 60 players registered and registrations are still going on. Initially we had today as the registration deadline but we will continue to accept player registrations till Wednesday. We thought we would have enough registrations by now as everyone had interest to play a short tournament. So we asked around and realized that players have 2 major concerns. The main concern players are having is the possibility of not getting picked in the auction process. So we want to address that and clear the air about the auction process and format.
1) All players who register will be picked by team owners, as we are giving min 15 players squad to each team.
2) Every player registered will be playing 50 per of the matches in the whole tournament.
3) Auctioning is just the fun part which we want to introduce and give owners some fun way of making a team and keep this tournament competitive.
4) We personally feel that not all players who gets picked at higher bid will perform well or not all players who gets picked for base price will not perform. ONE person cannot change the game especially in this small format. It has to be a team effort and each player has his importance.
5) Our team owners believe in the same concept that it will be team effort to win this cup, not solo performances.
The other concern or we should say hesitation is that players are not comfortable to play away from their original T20 teams. We do understand the comfort zone of players but would like to encourage everyone to consider it one more time. We play with our team twice a year and this t10 format will help us come together as group, know about other players and mingle with everyone. So give it a try and since this a short tournament, you don't have to play with the new team for long.
We hope we made everything clear and changed your mind to register in the league. At the end of day its our league and every player has a right to be part of it and as a committee we want you to be part of it. Hope you all join us in making this tournament a successful one as you all normally do by participating in T20 leagues.
At least make the games 15 over. with 11 in the team 10 is too short.
Any individual participating in FCA conducted tournaments agrees to Release FCA and its officers from any liability as stated below:
As a cricket playing individual and on behalf of my assignees, executors, administrators, heirs and successors, do hereby agree to release, hold harmless, forever discharge, and covenant not to sue the FCA as well as its executive members, officers, agents, affiliates, and any employees for any liability that I may have for any claims, demands, causes of actions, judgments (including costs and expenses) or liability arising directly or indirectly, or any way connected to, property damage, losses or bodily injury as result of voluntary participation by me in FCA or its affiliate conducted tournaments.
I fully understand and acknowledge that by participating in FCA conducted tournaments implies executing this release. I, as well as my assignees, executors, administrators, heirs and successors, forever discharge any claims for liability or negligence against FCA, as well as its executive members, officers, agents, affiliates and employees, for property damage, losses or bodily injury arising directly or indirectly, or any way connected of my voluntary participation in FCA conducted tournaments and all such claims will be forever barred.
I further acknowledge and understand that my participation in FCA conducted tournaments is entirely voluntary and not something that is required to do.
All terms of this agreement are contained herein and there are no other terms to this agreement.

In consideration of being permitted to participate in any way in the FCA Cricket Tournament 2015 Program (from January 1, 2015 to December 31st, 2015) indicated below and/ or being permitted to enter for any purpose any restricted area (here in defined as any area where in admittance to the general public is prohibited), the player/ participant named below and in addendum 2 agree:
1. The player/participant prior to participating in the FCA Cricket Tournament 2015 activity
or event, he or she should inspect the facilities and equipment to be used, and if he or she believes anything is unsafe, the participant should immediately advise the officials of such condition and refuse to participate. I understand and agreed that, if at any time, I feel anything to be UNSAFE, I will immediately take all precautions to avoid the unsafe area and REFUSE TO PARTICIPATE further.
2. I/WE fully understand and acknowledge that:
(a) There are risks and dangers associated with participation in FCA Cricket Tournament 2015 events and activities which could result in bodily injury partial and/or total disability, paralysis and death.
(b) The social and economic losses and/or damages, which could result from these risks and dangers described above, could be severe.
(c) These risks and dangers may be caused by the action, inaction or negligence of the participant or the action, inaction or negligence of others, including, but not limited to, the Releasees named below.
(d) There may be other risks not known to us or are not reasonably foreseeable at his time.
3. I/WE accept and assume such risks and responsibility for the losses and/or damages following such injury, disability, paralysis or death, however caused and whether caused in whole or in part by the negligence of the Releasees named below.
4. I/WE HEREBY RELEASE, WAIVE, DISCHARGE AND COVENANT NOT TO SUE the Florida Cricket Association and facility/grounds as in addendum 1 used by the participant, including committee members and facility owners, managers, promoters, lessees of premises used to conduct the FCA Cricket Tournament 2015 event or program, premises and event inspectors, underwriters, consultants and others who give recommendations, directions, or instructions to engage in risk evaluation or loss control activities regarding the Florida Cricket Association event and facility/grounds as in addendum 1 or events held at such facility and each of them, their directors, officers, agents, employees, all for the purposes herein referred to as "Releasee"...FROM ALL LIABILITY TO THE UNDERSIGNED, my/our personal representatives, assigns, executors, heirs and next to kin FOR ANY AND ALL CLAIMS, DEMANDS, LOSSES OR DAMAGES AND ANY CLAIMS OR DEMANDS THEREFORE ON ACCOUNT OF ANY INJURY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE DEATH OF THE PARTICIPANT OR DAMAGE TO PROPERTY, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE EVENT(S) CAUSED OR ALLEGED TO BE CAUSED IN WHOLE OR IN PART BY THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEE OR OTHERWISE.
5. I/WE HEREBY acknowledge that THE ACTIVITIES OF THE EVENT(S) ARE VERY DANGEROUS and involve the risk of serious injury and/or death and/or property damage. Each of THE UNDERSIGNED also expressly acknowledges that INJURIES RECEIVED MAY BE COMPOUNDED OR INCREASED BY NEGLIGENT RESCUE OPERATIONS OR PROCEDURES OF THE RELEASEES.
6. EACH OF THE UNDERSIGNED further expressly agrees that the foregoing release, waiver, and indemnity agreement is intended to be as broad and inclusive as is permitted by the law of the Province or State in which the event is conducted and that if any portion is held invalid, it is agreed that the balance shall, notwithstanding continue in full legal force and effect.
7. On behalf of the participant and individually, the undersigned partner(s) and/or legal guardian(s) for the minor participant executes this Waiver and Release. If, despite this release, the participant makes a claim against any of the Releasees, the parent(s) and/or legal guardian(s) will reimburse the Releasee for any money which they have paid to the participant, or on his behalf, and hold them harmless.
I HAVE READ THIS RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY, ASSUMPTION OF RISK AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT, FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS TERMS, UNDERSTAND THAT I HAVE GIVEN UP SUBSTANTIAL RIGHTS BY SIGNING IT, AND HAVE SIGNED IT FREELY AND VOLUNTARILY WITHOUT ANY INDUCEMENT, ASSURANCE, OR GUARANTEE BEING MADE TO ME AND INTEND MY SIGNATURE TO BE COMPLETE AND UNCONDITIONAL RELEASE OF ALL LIABILITY TO THE GREATEST EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW.
