Oakville Cricket Club (OCC) were crowned HDCL 2020 Elite Division (40 Overs) champions. In the final OCC faced 2019 Elite div champions Hamilton Cricket Club (HCC). Batting first Hamilton Cricket Club were restricted to a modest yet defendable total of 161 all out. With top order failing, HCC was able to reach the total of 161 with useful contributions from middle and lower order batters, Usman Ali (20 runs), Usman Chughtai (23 runs), Mohammed Asim (19 runs) and Numan Chughtai chipping in with highest contribution of 37 runs. For Oakville CC, Usman Bokhari with 3 wkts for 26 runs and Shumial Matin with 2 wkts for 27 were most successful bowlers. OCC batters applied themselves well and never let the scoreboard or pressure of final play on their minds. Opener Qaddar Saeed (man of the match) with 61 runs was chief architect of the successful chase. Qaddar was well supported by Faizan Siddiqui with 31 runs and Niaz Paracha with 36 runs. Oakville CC eventually reached the required target of 162 with the loss of 6 wickets in 25.3 overs.
