Cricket in Geoje took some baby steps about 20 years ago with few amateurs walking towards ground and just started playing cricket.
Today Cricket in Geoje has matured in the form of Geoje Cricket Club also known as GCC.
Broadly GCC comprise of SHI and DSME employees playing cricket every weekend.
Time to time Vendor personnel, Ship owners also join us for cricket games.
GCC took a giant stride last year by organizing her maiden CRICKET TOURNAMENT which got participation from all major cricket teams in korea, we thank to all participated teams .
We feel people while playing cricket , try to concentrate while anticipating next delivery , next shot to play, running behind ball etc. These actions force the mind to drop other day to day stress and tension related thoughts.
Thus in a way cricket can be a good stress buster ,so, GCC encourage people from all ages to play cricket every weekend .
As a result players as young as 25 and as old as 42 can be seen in GCC.
Sportsman spirit, honesty, respecting fellow players are few values which are more important to GCC then wining a cricket tournament .
A win achieved without compromising our values shall be a dream win for us and it is exactly what we are looking forward to in HPCC 2018.
