Hawkeyes won the toss and elected to bat. The HWK openers, Urvil and Parin provided a steady start with Urvil (39) hitting some big shots throughout his innings. The IBL bowlers pulled it back with some disciplined bowling leading to a regular loss of wickets. the HWKs could manage to score 142 runs before being bowled out in 34th over. The IBL innings had a shaky start with Achal getting out to Brajesh in the first over caught by Urvil in the deep. Both the opening bowlers, Brajesh and Urvil, kept it tight making it difficult for the IBL batsmen to score runs. IBL kept on losing wickets at regular intervals and were 56/5 at the drinks break thanks to a good bowling effort by Rahil, Sajan, Arvind and Sandeep in the middle overs. Binu and Abhijit tried to get the innings moving before Binu was caught in the slips. Eventually, IBL was all out for 115 runs in the 30th over Man of the Match: Urvil Patel for scoring 39 runs, taking 1 wicket and 2 catches.
