IBL won the toss and elected to field first. Rajesh got the first breakthrough in his third over making Manish LBW. Thereafter the NCC batsmen played a sensible batting performance. The Partnership between Praveen (31 - 6*1, 4*4) and Gaurav (61 ? 6*4, 4*1) were the key. In the 15th over NCC were 98/3. After the break Viru decided to bring his new bowler in to attack and Dinu took 3 quick wickets to take IBL back in to the game. JJ (16 ? 4*1) and Phil (13) played well but the tight bowling attack by Dinu, Saurabh, Rajesh and Binu in the last 10 overs restricted the NCC score to 178/8 in 30 overs. It wasn?t a good start for IBL, they lost the important wicket of Achal (11 ? 6*1) in the 3rd over. There after Ansul (10) played defensive to make a good partnership with Binu. IBL were 40/2 in the 7th over when Rajesh (42 ? 6*4, 4*2) joined Binu (27 - 6*1, 4*2) to gear the IBL innings. This partnership took IBL cross 100 in the 12th over. Phil and Das bowled well and took 2 wickets each. After the break Sriram took 3 quick wickets including the big wicket of Rajesh to put the pressure back to IBL. Only 28 runs were needed in the last 10 overs, but IBL has already lost their 9 wickets. Dinesh and Dinu played a very sensible cricket in the last wicket partnership to give IBL a thrilling win in the 26th over.
