Due to the bad weather forecast and unavailability of the ground later in the noon, teams decided to start the match 30 mins early and the match started at 8:30am. ISU won the toss and elected to bowl. The decision proved correct when the HWK batsman could not score freely due to wet outfield and overcast conditions. ISU opening bowlers kept it tight and straight and not allowed HWK to score well. ISU kept on taking wickets at regular intervals to push HWK to backfoot. Munir showed some resistance and pushed HWK score to 91 before getting all out in 30 overs. By the time ISU came to bat, weather was excellent and sunny, which helped the outfiled to dry better. Munir chipped in with early wicket, getting Adnan out. Deepak continued scoring freely, joined by Tanzil put on a good stand. Upon Deepak's dismissal, Sannel along with Tanzil finished things off. ISU chased down the target in 13 odd overs. Shivan G was awarded the man of the match for his excellent spell of 5 overs which had 3 wickets and some tight bowling.
