The game started on time. NEB won the toss and elected to Bat first. They didn't get a good start losing the wicket of Sandeep Nandagiri in the very first over but Nippu then joined Vivek and kept the score board ticking. They both put on a partnership of over 100 runs. At a stage, NEB was eyeing to set a target of over 200 but Sumukh did the magic for CVCC. He not only took the wickets of the both set batsman but caught the middle order of NEB in his spin web. He was well supported by Sagar. The spin duo shared 8 wickets among themselves. With the little of Rampi and Naren, NEB ended up with a score of 176. CVCC started off pretty well with Sagar and Sumukh scoring easy runs at the required pace. They both put on a partnership of over 40 runs and were going good. Gowtham has to bring himself to break the partnership with the very first delivery. Avinash then took 3 wickets leaving CVCC at 49/4 at the end of 10 overs. Anil then joined Sagar and kept CVCC in the game and looked like they were on course to take their team home. It is then Avinash who took the priced wicket of Sagar who made a well deserving 52. He also dismissed Anil in his next over. So, the responsibility was laid on the shoulders of Abhay to take CVCC to victory and he raised the hopes when he got 15 runs of Pradish over. CVCC required 35 off 5 overs. Gowtham, again brought himself and dismissed Abhay with a yorker and ended the chances of CVCC. They bundled out for 150. NEB won the match by 26 runs. Man of the match was awarded to Avinash for his bowling performance of 4/21. The game went well without any issues.
