TAP 66/4 (Karthick 24*, Raj 13, Sumit 1/13) beat Wolfpack 39 (Sumit 10, Raj 2/2) by 27 runs. Scorecard and Ball-by-Ball Details TAP continue their impeccable form to qualify for the finals of LNCL 2016. Bowling first after winning the toss, Wolfpack kept a check on the scoring right from the start. Karthick & Raj held fort for TAP with a steady opening partnership. Wolfpack bowlers never let TAP run away with the game. Perhaps, they'd rue a couple of missed chances in the field and the extras. TAP batsmen chose good running to big shots, which paid dividence. TAP, made to work hard for their runs got to a respectable total of 66 eventually, with Karthick carrying the bat through the innings. Wolfpack, had a horriffic start to their chase losing Ashish and Partha early in the innings. TAP's slow-medium trio of Karthick, Sridhar & Raj kept things tight on a scuffed up surface. Never able to recover from the early blows, Wolfpack eventually fell short of the target by 27 runs. TAP will now take on Spartans in the finals of LNCL 2016, tomorrow. We come to realize that this is perhaps the last season of competitve tennis ball cricket to be played on LN Miamisburg grounds. As for the game itself, new champions are to be crowned tomorrow. While TAP has had a dream run throughout the tournament, Spartans, who've had a good run, have peaked at the right time. Both teams go into the finals with stellar performances to show from the Super Six stage. Both teams are expected to remain unchanged for the summit clash. |
