1.Rules for Female Players
 
  1. First two overs of each innings will be bowled by the 2 female players and need to be played by the opposition female players respectively. 
  2. Pitch length for the female bowler will be 18 yards.  However female bowlers need not bowl full arm action.  However, the batting side female player will need to run the full 22 yards.
  3. All the runs scored by the female players (off the bat) will be doubled. Byes/wide/no balls are not considered as runs off the bat.
  4. In case the female player gets out then single run will be deducted from the team’s total.  Any female player that gets out will change the side and let the other female player face the next ball. 
  5. Negative scoring will be applicable during the female bowling. 
  6. Player Substitution – To allow enough rest for female players during fielding the captains can replace female player with male player after first 2 overs. However, this is totally optional.  The substituted player can bat and bowl – no restrictions.
  7. In case only one female available-
    1. Team A (2 females) v/s Team B (1 female) – Team A gets 2 overs female batting but will bowl only one over to Team B. Team A captain can decide to let any one or both the female bowlers bowl the 6 balls (3 balls each).  2 substitutions allowed any time.
    2. Team B female will have to bowl both the overs.  During batting the team gets only 15 overs. One over to be played by the female. A male runner is required from other side but he will not be allowed to bat for this one over. 1 substitution allowed any time. 
    3. If both the teams get only 1 female, then only one substitution will be allowed.
    4. If the team don’t get any female players, then the team does not have any substitution option available – the team has to play with 9 male players only. 
  8. In case there are no female available –
    1. The team will bat for max. 14 overs only. 
    2. They will have to bowl underarm to the female players and any wickets of the female players will not be considered out (no negative scoring will apply). Male bowler will have to bowl from 22 yards.
    3. Male bowling the female bowlers’ quota will deduct the actual male bowlers’ individual quota.
  9. Females will have a choice to field for the entire innings or can be substituted any time.
  10. Field restrictions during female batting – max. 6 players in the inner circle including bowler and wicket keeper.  Total players on the field = 9 (including 2 females).  
  11. During the overs 3-16 no more than 11 players should be on the field for the fielding team.  Substitution should be clearly announced by the captain.
