Junior Cricket League Rules

  1. All games will be 15 overs. 3 overs max per bowler.
  2. The group stages will be round-robin. Each team will play one round of games against each other. Organizers will decide the league and playoff format at the start of the league.
  3. There will be batting & bowling power play applicable. First 3 overs will be bowling power play where maximum of 2 fielders are allowed in the outer circle. Batting power play will be mandatory after 10th over where maximum of 3 fielders are allowed in the outer circle. In general, fielding team always need to have a minimum of 4 fielders in the inner circle.
  4. Max 5 fielders on leg side.
  5. Bowlers are allowed to bowl whatever works for them (under-arm, over-arm, throw, etc).
  6. Above the waist is considered as no ball for all the bowlers.
  7. Free hit for all no balls.
  8. If runner runs before ball is released and bowler hits the stump (mankad), 1st warning will be given then it is out.
  9. Innings break can be max 15 minutes.
  10. Byes and overthrows are allowed.
  11. No LBW and no leg byes.
  12. 1 run for no ball, and wides. No run for dead-ball.
  13. If ball pitches on the grass before crossing the stumps, it is considered as no ball (no free hit for this no ball).
  14. If ball pitches more than 2 times before crossing the stumps, it is considered as dead-ball.
  15. Three consecutive dead balls to be considered as a no ball.
  16. If dead-ball hits stump or caught by keeper/fileder, it is not considered as out.
  17. Teams can play with 12 players in which 1 player can only bat (batting sub) and 1 player can only bowl (Bowling sub).
  18. In case of tie, Super over (2 wickets/1 over) will be conducted until the winner is decided.
  19. Only registered and paid members can play. Organisers will decide to provide substitue players if any team is short of playing 11.
  20. Umpires decision is FINAL.
