Dominant Gaurav put LTI on top Lance Binns League came alive with a juggle in standings. LTI after two wins on the same day stole the top spot from well settled CRACA. Corsairs once again lost to a close one in their second to LTI. Gaurav came back strong in match 3 and match 4 against Corsairs and CRACA respectively with a match winning performance of 45 (43) and 86 (61). Both the knocks coming from chasing is worth mentioning considering LTI’s fixture to play back-to-back games on the same day. Gaurav was in his supreme confidence knocking the bowlers around the park. He scored 21 boundaries and 2 sixes in the day and more importantly ensured the teams victory. With an average of 54.67 in 3 matches at a strike rate of 117.14 he tops the batting charts and player rankings with 556 points, almost double of the next in rank. With three more matches to go in the league stage it will be interesting to see if he can keep his form particularly with no significant performances in batting from his team. However, for now these two knocks places teams in quandary. |
