By Aman Arora 26-NOV-2017: Great Sunday afternoon and a much awaited clash between Aztecs and Aguilas is on the Cards. Shantanu, Aguilas captain called it right "Heads" and Heads it is and as expected Aguilas chose to bowl. Immediately it turned out to be a dream start for Aguilas and there were 2 wickets in the First Over of CP and Arshad got Suchit caught behind in the 2nd Over. Aztecs were 8/3 at the End of 2 Overs. Aztecs Captain Aman along with Anurag started re-building the Aztecs innings. There was great accuracy in lines of Aguilas bowlers but Aman and Anurag stuck to their task and slowly and steadily Aztecs reached 45/3 after 10 Overs and finally reached 50 in the 11th Over. Now the time was there to accelerate so that team can reach to a respectable total but in the 12th Over Golden Arm Sikander got the Wicket of Aman and Anurag and again there was a danger for Aztecs of getting bowled out cheaply but there were very useful and game changer contributions from Archit(21), Mike(9), Harprit(16) and Nirmal(8). Not only they controlled the downlslide but also scored quickly and Aztecs reached to a respectable total of 112 in their stipulated 20 Overs which by no means is enough. The way lower order batted for Aztecs they started hoping that they will reach 125-130 but Shantanu and CP with their bowling kept things tight and under control. Shantanu end up with 3 wickets and with this he became the highest wicket taker of the season. This was the Aztecs Must Win game and Aguilas were without their 2 best batsman; Aravindan and Shahzad. Aztecs started brilliantly and there was a sense of DejaVu in the Aguilas innings. Harish bowled good first over and Anurag from the other end bowled Madood of his first ball and he struck again in the same over when Anurag trapped Phani plumb infront of wickets and Aguilas were reeling 5/2 after 2 overs. Then Shashi and Sanjay steadied the ship, Shashi struck 2 consecutive fours of bowling of Aman and and took the score to 20 after 5 overs. Then came the star performer of the Match Harprit who bowled exceptionally well and immediately struck and got Sanjay out caught in the deep by Aman and on the 3rd ball got Shashi caught at short point where Alban took a smart low catch. In comes the Aguilas captain and that was their last hope but Aman got his opposite number in the 7th over when Shantanu sliced a wide overpitched ball straight to point where Harish took a simple catch and Aguilas were 29 for 5 after 7 overs. Aztecs kept the momentum & bowled tight to all the in-coming batsmen and Aguilas innings eventually fold out on 42 in 12th Over. Harprit took 4 wickets in 3 Overs. Aztecs got one of the biggest Win in terms of margin of Runs and it became possible with a great team effort and on a day when they were good in all the 3 departments.
