Match 7 - St. Helens V CrystalsAfter losing the initial matches, it was a do-or-die for both the teams . The format is so compeititve that if a team loses 2 matches , it is virtually out of semi-final race. Crystals won the toss and got St. Helens to bat first. Riding on a superb batting display of Captain Dhruva (44*) , Helens posted a reaosnable target of 88. This could have bit a lot more but a good fightback from Crystals in last 3 overs prevented it from going out of reach (just 7 runs in last 3 overs). Crystals top 3 palyed with gutso and sealed the match in just 12 overs with Uday playing a match winning of 36 and ably syupported by Amit and Nagesh.Helens are virtually out of race of S/F but they can held their head high on being so compeititive in 2 matches even after having very limited resources in bowling. |
