MATCH 14: STUARTS V SONICSIt was a rare day of bowlers in MCL where bowlers from both teams had a really good time. All Sonics bowlers bowled well and ensured that Stuarts can only get to 71 runs in 16 overs. Seeing the high totals in MCL so far , it looked like a walk in the park for Sonics in the half way stage. But Stuarts bowlers had other plans. They went 1 step ahead and ensured that Sonics could only reach to 58 runs . Shantanu showed the way with 3 wickets while Robin gave just 7 runs in 3 overs. Sonics lost last 6 wickets for 11 runs while ended the game for them.It was a wasted opportunity for Sonics as this win would have put them in contention for Semis. This was a consolation win for Stuarts as they won 1st out of 3 matches they played. With both teams having just 1 win out of 3 matches, MCL looks mostly over for them. |
