MATCH 16: COLONIALS V CRYSTALSIn a high intensity match which wrapped up the Group B matches Colonials riding on excellent bowling and fielding defeated Crystals by 16 runs. The match went much closer than the scoreline suggested. Needing 22 or 12 balls Crystals went through a state of panic which caused 6 run outs in 2 overs and handed the match to Colonials. It was a day of runouts and dropped catches where Crystals dropped anything which came their way . Dhruva capitasied on the fielding and steered the innings for colonials with 42 runs.Crystals top order batted slowly causing the required run rate to reach 9-10 and ultimately it proved too much to handle. Colonials with 3 wins are through to Semis and Crystals will just hope for a improbable miracle from the last 2 macthes to see if they can make it . |
