Rules

a. MCC rules are applicable wherever possible.

b. The game is a 20-overs match.

c. A bowler can bowl maximum of 4 overs. No limit on number of bowlers.

d. No ball and wide deliveries will result in 1 run as per MCC rules.

e. Overthrow and byes will be considered as per MCC rules.

f. A free hit will be given if a no ball is bowled as per MCC rules.

g. If the ball is lost in a tree, shrub, or bush, the umpire should declare 1 run.

 h. N0 Power Play or 30-yard circle.

i. If the ball remains low on the first bounce but finishes its journey behind the stumps on the second bounce, it will be considered a legitimate ball and cannot be declared dead. Final decision by umpire.

j. The ball is only declared dead if the second bounce occurs before the stumps. Final decision by umpire.

k. While bowling, no jerking or bending of the arm is allowed; bowlers must bowl as per MCC rules.

l. If the ball goes behind the diamond's backside fence, 1 run will be declared. This applies only if the ball goes behind the fence of the baseball diamond.

m. Boundaries for 4s and 6s should be set up to cover the leg side, off side, and front side.

n. Teams should set up stumps in the center of the diamond to ensure that all three sides are covered for 4s and 6s.

o. Both captains will attempt to establish a 45-degree angle for the boundary starting from where the stumps are placed. Just like Pie shape

p. If a ball goes to the fence outside the range of 45 degrees, captains will decide on a 1-run declaration based on the ground dimensions.

q. A declaration will be considered as 1 run taken, and players must switch sides, as the app does not have the ability to record declared runs.

r. The MAIN umpire will make the call for a full toss above waist height, following MCC rules, leg umpire will assist but final decision will be made by Main umpire.

-              Leg umpire will only be in decision making power for run outs on batting side, rest all final decision will be made by Final Umpire.

s. Umpires' decisions will be final, and both parties should respect the umpires' decisions.

t. 1 bounce per over, 2nd bounce is NO ball.

u. No wicket keeping gloves allowed. Only batting gloved for sweating which are non padded gloves allowed. Leg guard not allowed. L gurad /hockey jock players can use at their discreation

Match Timming, Home team responsibilities, Equipment’s and Schedule.

• Player arrivals 7:00 AM
• Home team should hold the diamond between 6:45 AM to 7:00 AM as per the assignment in the match schedule listed on website
• Pitch and Boundary setup - 7:10 to 7:15 AM. The home team will prepare pitches and boundaries and present them for validation to umpire.
• Toss: Conduct the toss at 7:15 AM

. ❖ Match Schedule: 
• Start of Play: 7:20 AM
• First Inning: Conduct as per tournament format for 80 minutes (7:20 to 8:40 AM), with a 5 to 10-minute break.
• Second Inning: Conduct as per tournament format for 80 minutes (8:45 to 10:05 AM).
• End of Match: 10:15 to 10:20 AM

❖ Pitch, boundary dimensions, equipment’s and set up
o Prepare and Validation: Prepare pitch length (20.12mtr/ 66 feet) between 7:10 to 7:15 AM.
The home team will prepare the pitch length and present it for validation to umpire.
o Stump to Crease- standard 1.22 meter/ 4 feet
o Stumps to be placed on both sides and to be carried by home team.
o Cones to be placed by home team to be carried by home team.
o Prepare pitch with fibre glass tape provided by league.
o Ball Provided by league. 1 new ball per inning.
o In case ball is lost, Teams to provided with alternate similarly used Nivia hard tennis ball.
o 45 Meter Boundary: Prepare and Validate 45 Meter boundary dimension.
Measure from starting of Batting side stumps, move from left to right creating pie shaped boundary.
