Welcome Jayantha Kumar Sen Gupta

Malaysia Cricket is growing at a pace that calls for changes to be made in order to ensure that we are steadfast in our endeavour to make cricket the number one sport in Malaysia, it is imperative that we streamline our day-to-day activities with best practises that is essentially in accordance with the International Cricket Council’s best practice focusing on Ethics and Anti-Corruption.
 
To assist with improving these best practices, Malaysia Cricket has established it's Anti-Corruption Unit, to be led by Jayantha Kumar Sen Gupta, a Certified Integrity Officer (CeIO) with more than 10-year experience in integrity and anti-corruption management. His experience spans eleven years with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), thus equipping him with in-depth knowledge on matters of integrity and anti-corruption.
 
Jayantha Kumar is no stranger to the sport, having played cricket for Selangor state during his school days. He is also a familiar figure at major tournaments in the capacity of an anti-corruption official. Commonly known as Jay,  his role at Malaysia Cricket will be to assist and guide the various stakeholders of Malaysian Cricket at all levels and age-groups on strategies to keep the Cricket void of corruption lean and clean.
 
On the appointment of Jayantha Kumar, President of the Malaysia Cricket Association,  Mohammed Iqbal Ali bin Kassim Ali felt that this appointment  is  timely, stating that “As the game is growing it is Malaysian Cricket’s Intention to put ourselves in the best possible position”
