---- Nail biting match ----- Kattapa started the innings on such a nice day - weather & outfield both looks perfect. Arjunas stuck the opener Gurpreet S. in the first over (good fielding from Amit Samaniya). Despite the early loss Kattapa's batsmen (Kuldeep & Jitendra) played fearless and team score climbed 100 in 7th over (thanks to Kuldeep for big shots - 7 sixes). Arjunas lost their heart even spectators can feel the pressure on Arjunas. Suddenly Rahul got 2 quick wickets putting some pressure on Kattapa. Things changed then and everything was in favor of Arjunas. Subodh from Kattapa was trying hard to push the scoreboard to new heights. Meanwhile Jaideep & Dharmendra were knocking wickets to put Kattapa on back foot. What a comeback from Arjunas!!! They took 8 wickets in 35 runs. Arjunas needed a plan to chase the highest score till date in series. Openers (Anshuman & Amit S.) started with patience but RRR kept climbing and openers couldn't hold the crease for long time. Kattapa bowlers kept knocking wickets at regular intervals. . 55 runs needed in 4 overs. Amit Bansal hit consecutive boundaries and dropped the score to 42 runs needed in 3 overs in turn increasing pressure on Kattapa. Mridul and Amit played nice shots but Mridul was caught by Pankaj (nice catch) and one of the turning points in match. Kattapa fielders did a great job and didn’t give even a single boundary in last 2 overs and won the match. It was hard luck for Arjunas. They played fantastic and made came back twice in the game but it was Kattapa's day in end. Both teams played well and best of luck for future games. MOM: Kuldeep (75 runs)  |
