ABOUT US
New Jersey Softball Cricket League is also known as NJSBCL, the home of softball cricket in New Jersey. The “Incorporated” organization NJSBCL, established in April 2008, as a “Not For Profit” corporate social entity. It was this love and support for the game of cricket that propelled us to get incorporated and get formed as a legal entity to further the cause of the game in NJ.
The League has been in existence since 2002 when a group 8 teams came together bonded by their passion to play cricket. The idea was to make use of the early hours of the weekend and be able play the game that is passionate to most of us.
OUR VISION
NJSBCL’s vision is to promote and establish, the sport of softball cricket as a minority sport in the state of New Jersey. We also aim to bring together the sport and its players, participants, families, spectators, local and county officials, and administrators. The dream is to act as a catalyst in promoting this game amongst youngsters by enabling the provision of the infrastructure including new grounds and facilities specially earmarked for cricket as required for the game.
The League has since grown by leaps and bounds, fueled by our love and passion for this game. The growth of the league from a mere 8 teams in 2002 to over 160 teams now in 2022 only goes to show the popularity of the sport in this part of the world.
