There will be help on Day 1 to ensure all of you are guided to your parking locations. All parking will have to be near the Barn area and outside Ground 3. We will help you get there. Please remember your ground number as you drive for the game.
IT IS A MANDATORY RULE THAT NO ONE DRIVES ON CRICKET FIELDS. THE GROUNDS ARE BLACK CLAY. CARS AND TRUCKS LEAVE PERMANENT MARKS AND IT MAKES THE OUTFIELD RUGGED AND UNPLAYABLE. WE HAVE SPENT CLOSE TO $4000 TO GET THE GROUNDS LEVELED AND SHAPED TO SUIT OUR GAME.
I REQUEST YOU ALL TO BE MINDFUL OF THIS AND ENSURE YOU ARE IN A SAFE PLAYING AREA WHERE YOUR STEP IS TRULY FLAT WHEN YOU RUN.
If you see anyone driving, please take the luxury to correct them and be authoritative to protect your playing area. It is important that you and your team has a safe ground to play on.
Trash:
ALL TEAMS ARE EXPECTED TO BRING THEIR TRASH BAGS AS WE ARRANGE FOR TRASH CANS IN THE COMING WEEKS. There is a trash unit next to the ground and we can use that to dispose trash collected after the game. We will provide directions to that facility.
FOR NOW, PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN TRASHBAGS AND CARRY ALL THE TRASH.
WHILE WE HATE ANY RULE OR PUNISHMENT, WE HAVE TO BE CLEAR THAT ANY TRASH LEFT BEHIND WILL HAVE A FINANCIAL PENALTY ASSOCIATED WITH IT. Captains are requested to send pictures of their areas and the ground after their game to ensure no penalties are assigned.
Umpiring:
ALL UMPIRING DECISIONS ARE FINAL. We are self umpiring, and ensuring the protection of everyone taking a decision is extremely important. Please be respectful or your team mates and the opponents as they are also in the quest to enjoy the game, win at every opportunity and love this game we all hold so closely.
Playoffs umpiring will be from teams that have not made it to playoffs.
