OMAN STALLIONS , YALLA SHABAB STITCH CONVINCING VICTORIES.

Muscat, Oman : Oman Stallions brush past Majees CT by 2 wickets and Yalla Shabab dominate Renaissance beating them by 108 runs in the Premier Division League Season 2022-23 powered by Muscat Pharmacy.
 
On Friday, Oman Stallions challenged the Majees batting electing to bowl first. The stallions’ Bilal Khan and Hemal Tandel were lethal and trumped the Majees batsmen picking 6 wickets within 16 overs. The Majees batsmen kept falling like dominoes having no answer to the Stallions bowling , with skipper Zeeshan Maqsood notching 22 of 16 balls (4x4) , being their highest run-getter. Hemal Tandel ended with 6 wickets to his name and Rafiullah bagged a couple of wickets. In response, Majees CT’s Jan Shafiq and Ishtiaq Mohammed startled the Oman Stallion batsmen with 4 batsmen departing in the powerplay. Hard-Hitting All Rounder Rafiullah scored quick fire 35 with three boundaries and two maximums to ensure the Stallions get over the line. Ishtiaq Mohammed ended with 3 wickets and Jan Shafiq and Md Yousuf bagged 2 wickets each.Brief Scores : Majees CT 106/10 in 27.3 overs (Hemal Tandel 53/6 , Rafiullah 13/2) lost to Oman Stallions 107/8 in 23.4 overs (Rafullah 35(35) 3x4, 2x6 ; Ishtiaq Mohammed 27/3) by 2 wickets.
 
On Saturday, Renaissance put Yalla Shabab to bat first. Yalla Shabab lost 2 of its mainstay batmen for cheap courtesy of a fiery spell from Fawad Ali. Hannan Rizwan and Mohammed Nadeem played through the 1st drinks losing their wickets post drinks. Imran Alam and Mohammed Zahid chancelessly stitched a 119 run partnership with both of them reaching to their half-centuries but falling consecutively in a space of 3 balls between the 41st and 42nd over. Kaleemullah’s late blitz scoring 20 of just 9 balls took Yalla Shabab to 241 in 50 overs. Syed Muzamil was the key armer picking 5 wickets in the innings. In response, Renaissance got off to a shaky and slow start loosing 3 wickets in the first 20 overs for just 45 runs. Hammad Irfaq and Ahmed Fayyaz Butt scored 30+ runs trying to help Renaissance get close to the target but fell short due to Nester Dhamba’s terrific spin-bowling display claiming 5 wickets to seal the deal for Yalla Shabab. Renaissance bundled down to just 133 in 42.3 overs. Brief Scores: Yalla Shabab 241/10 in 50 overs (Muhammed Zahid 57(64) 4x4 , Imran Alam 51(93) 3x4 ; Syed Muzamil 59/5) beat Renaissance 133/10 in 42.3 overs (Hamad Irfaq 31(45) 3x4 , Ahmed Fayyaz Butt 30(28) 4x4,1x6 ; Nester Dhamba 45/5) by 108 runs.
