No Ball/Wide Rules
No Ball
- If the bowler bowls without some part of the front foot landing either grounded or in the air behind the popping crease. It would be a No Ball.
- The heel of the foot lands behind the popping crease while delivering the ball and then slides, it is not a No ball.
- If the bowler bowls with the back foot not wholly inside the return crease. It would be a No Ball.
- If any full toss bowled above waist height. It would be a No Ball.
- Third fast pitched short balls over the shoulder in an over. It would be a No Ball.
- If the bowler breaks the non-striker's wicket during the act of delivery. It would be a No Ball.
- If the bowler changes the arm with which he bowls without notifying the umpire. It would be a No Ball.
- If the bowler changes the side of the wicket from which he bowls without notifying the umpire. It would be a No Ball.
- If the ball bounces more than twice, or rolls along the ground, before reaching the popping crease at the striker's end. It would be a No Ball.
Wide Ball
- Wide line is 35inch from the middle stump. i.e 70 inches both side.
- If a ball pass outside wide line can be called as wide ball.
- Fast pitched short balls over the head height is a Wide Ball.
- If a bowler pitched the ball away from the pitch during his delivery it can be called as Wide Ball.
