The Ontario Twilight Softball Cricket League (OTSCL) Cordially invites you, your team and members of the Cricket Community to Canada Cup 1 Date: September 2 – 4, 2022; Venue: Toronto, Ontario, Canada T20 Categories are: Open – 6 teams, Open Round-Arm Bowling – 6 teams, Masters and Legends – 8 teams each. The registration fee is U$ 1000 per team Age limits: Open – none, Open Round-Arm Bowling – none, Masters – born 1982 or earlier and Legends – born 1972 or earlier. For the Legends, one player born in 1973 will be accommodated. Registration confirmation will be on a first come, first served basis. The Registration process starts online using Google Forms and should be completed and submitted as early as possible but not later than July 11, 2022 – the link to the Google form will follow. Teams must identify their Managers, Captains and Vice Captains and provide their contact information, as well as the name of their team and the participating Division. We plan to host an inaugural Over-60 softball game with players from Guyana and the US versus Canada. The round-arm bowling division is in recognition of our sister league, the Ontario Round Arm Softball Cricket Association. The draw for the fixtures will be held on Monday August 29, 2022 @ 7:00 PM via Zoom. Details will be provided to you by Monday August 22, 2022. Cash Prizes, Trophies and award categories will be released closer to the start date of the tournament The tournament will start off with an Opening Night Launch on Thursday, September 1, 2022 at 7:00 PM at the Tropical Nights Restaurant -1154 Morningside Avenue, Scarborough ON M1B 3A4 with the teams’ representatives and sponsors. Playing Rules will be distributed by the end of June 2022. Games will be played primarily in Scarborough and surrounding areas, starting on Friday morning with the finals on Sunday which will be followed by the awards presentation. As a valuable partner the Deputy Mayor of Toronto and the Consul General of Guyana will be cordially invited to join us in recognizing our softball cricketers.
