The ORIENTAL TROPHY is 20 Teams participated cricket league, Topper (4 teams) from each group shall be qualified to play Quarter Final and Runner from each group (4 teams) shall be qualified to Pre-Quarter Final directly. In case of tiebreaker on points, run rate shall be considered. In case of tiebreaker on run rate a lucky winner will be picked by inviting tiebreaker tram captains
Another 4 teams shall be qualified to Pre-Quarter Final based on the points obtained from the league matches. Selection criteria as below
12 Unqualified to knockout stage teams shall be considered

A same Player cannot participate in an ORIENTAL TROPHY with TWO distinct teams
Players who are NOT REGISTERED (CricClub site) in the team CANNOT PLAY in the Tournament. Maximum 25 Players can be registered in One Team
Official Time for Toss is 10 AM (Minimum 9 players should be there in Ground at Toss Time), the team that arrived late on or after 10:10 AM will lose the toss. Late arrived team shall be penalized as below
Arrived on or after 10:20 AM shall be deducted with one over
Arrived on or after 10:30 AM shall be deducted with two over
Arrived on or after 10:40 AM shall be considered as a walkover
In case of delays due to weather, team captains can decide to reschedule the matches with the prior approval from the organizing committee, if both teams are mutually agreed. Match points cannot be shared for any circumstances.
Out of 30 STAR PLAYERS LIST only TWO players can be registered in ONE TEAM. Opposition team should always verify the list registered before the Game. Once Result is out (After the Match Result) NO Action will be taken for that Particular match.
ICC rules are applied EXCEPT for LBW, Power Play and Mankading
LBW, POWER PLAY and MANKADING are NOT APPLICABLE in this Tournament
FREE HIT on NO Balls will be introduced from KNOCKOUT Stages only
ONE BOWLER can bowl maximum TWO OVERS & chucking of delivery (illegal) is not allowed
For the league matches, Damaged/faded/worn out ball will be determined only by the innings umpire as mutually agreed by both the captains only after finishing the 6 Overs
Maximum 5 fielders can field leg side including a bowler or else it will be called NO BALL
SUBSTITUTE player (12th man) can field maximum of TWO OVERS per innings
Bowlers are not eligible to bowl if he is substituted and did not field at least one over after his substitution
When a batter is out Caught, the NEW BATTER will come in at the end the STRIKER was, regardless of whether the batters crossed prior to the catch being taken.
ORIENTAL COMMITTEE Umpires will be provided from KNOCKOUT Stages
Only Team Captain has the right to discuss with the umpire panel in case of Clarification
ORIENTAL TROPHY management & Its umpiring Panel reserve the right to terminate the Player/ Team from the tournament if players are engaged in arguments / physical fights with the umpires or players
Oriental Umpire panel and ORIENTAL TROPHY Crew reserve the rights for any decisions over disputes & Changes in the Tournament Schedule
The SUPER OVER rules are applied when the Match result is TIE including leagues and knockout matches. No match point sharing is allowed
One representative from each team can accompany with Scoreboard crew and Online Scoring is MUST
There is NO such rule applies where playing minimum league games is compulsory to play in Knockouts
Keeper can Bowl directly after Keeping. No such rules to field One over minimum
Matches that are NOT COMPLETED BEFORE the PRAYER will RESUME AFTER the PRAYER. This will be agreed mutually between both the captains
