Search for the word Bhanu P in the scorcard of final match and you will find the name 10 times (at least). After contributing to every MCC wicket (8 in all), he stood there for 18.5 overs to score 52 runs that included 5 fours and 1 glorious six (switch hit I guess).

MCC were crawling till 18 overs of the 1st innings (48 runs) till Kannan blasted 35 runs in last 12 balls. He was going very slowly at one end with wickets tumbling at other end, but the late assualt of 1 four and 4 sixes, helped him score 54 runs in 47 balls and also gave MCC an excellent opporunity to stop KingsCC's win ride.
Their batting switched from 1st gear to 5th gear towards the end of innings but Kings CC found top gear almost instantly. Bhanu and Mallik Pullela were in Formula 1 mode, each hitting boundary in the first delivey they faced. The first 2 overs yielded 20 runs, there by giving Kings CC a nice cushion. They never looked in danger as Bhanu was there till the end, finding boundaries and singles at will. He almost brought Kings CC home before getting caught behind, when their score was 81. That left the new batsmen with 3 runs needed off 7 balls. MCC did create some tension by taking another wicket in the last ball of penultimate over but that did not stop Kings CC from winning the match and championship in the 3rd ball of the final over.
At the end it was tight bowling/fileding of Kings CC (Bhanus keeping n particular) and some poor running between the wickets of MCC batsmen (4 run outs) that proved to be the main factor that brought Kings CC home.
Audience enjoyed every second as they got what they wanted - A nail biting finish
