Match 2 : Schaumburg Super Lions vs 2.0
Schaumburg Super Lions strolls past 2.0 with a massive victory

When you line up one of the tournament favorites against a team which is playing its first ever match one cannot expect a surprising result. The match lived up to the expectations. But the way Schaumburg Super lions achieved their victory is something phenomenal. 99 runs victory margin in a 16 overs match is ruthless domination.
First on batting, Super lions players cleared boundaries on ease in regular intervals. Especially Jerline who was at his best today. He dominated all the bowlers of 2.0. Also their slow and short bowling and poor fielding didn’t help them. Jerline scored 59 runs at a strike rate of 147 with 4 sixes and 3 boundaries and went not out. Vallavan and Manoj also played good hands. Once again 17 extras gave away by 2.0 team is the third high score of the match which is costly. Super lions set a huge target of 135 which almost won them the match already.
Now its Super lions bowlers’ turn to fire it up, Selva started the first over with a Hatrick. All the first three batsmen fall to him with scorecard reads 0. The 2.0 batsmen fell like pack of cards to the accuracy of Selva, Sarath and Ganesh. They didn’t have any answers for the excellent display of some fast and swing bowling. The best partnership for 2.0 came on the last wicket who were atleast able to play out 4 overs and even scored their only boundary. At the end they scored 35 runs and were all out in 12 overs. Selva finished with the figures of 3-1-3-5. It's a dream spell for any bowler to start the tournament in such a way. His bowling is going to be the key factor for Super lions' success in upcoming matches.
It’s understandable that being a debut team 2.0 had a nervous start, but they soon have to figure out their batting order and identify their strike bowlers, otherwise they may be an easy target for other teams to secure 2 points. Hope they will practice more and come up with better performance.
