Phoenix Vs NIS Hawkers: Match Highlights
"The phoenix starts spreading its wings to fly higher!!!!"

On a hot sunday morning, making it hotter and spicier was the phoenix team's batting brilliance. Right from winning the toss till the end it was sheer brilliance on the field. The Phoenix team batsmen had shown aggression right from the word go, Manikandan had set the tone with an awesome boundary but would soon fall to a tempting ball. Phoenix team's opener Anthony had taken on the bowlers to set the tone for a high score. The masterpiece of the day was Mouli and Pradhun who had put on a terrific partnership in which Pradhun had made a well crafted half century and Mouli missing it by one run. Both the batsmen had played all around the park making the bowlers pay off for the slightest errors. Well you cannot err when some of the best in business are around with great form.Capitalising on a quick start and an outstanding batting display there was a huge 1st innings total on the cards making the NIS hawkers to go for the chase right from ball one.

The NIS hawkers started off the chase by going for fast runs, the batters showed aggression at the start but soon fell prey to the Phoenix team's perfect bowling onslaught. There was some excellent seam bowling displayed in today's game by the phoenix bowlers Neeraj,Pavan,Pradhun,Siva,Dinesh and Anthony. With the required run rate climbing high and with a disciplined bowling attack the chase becomes tougher for any team. The NIS team batted their full quota of overs but falling well short of the huge target set. It was a great day of cricket on the whole with the weather gods being quite harsh though. The spirit in which all the players had put with the rising mercury levels shows the level of interest to the game of cricket.
Sometimes aggression can be shown with great sportsmanship and hard fought games without mincing words.Phoenix would fly higher in all the aspects and show aggression in the form of sportsmanship in this so called gentlemans game "Cricket".
