Welcome

The St Peter’s College Old Petrian’s Water Polo & Cricket Tournament is a uniquely South African experience. Students, teachers, parents and supporters come together for four days in the spirit of togetherness, unity and friendly competition. This tournament is a showcase of the talents and potential of our youth and St Peter’s College is privileged to be able to host such a tournament. We extend a warm word of welcome to our many visitors who will grace the College campus

over the weekend. A special word of thanks is extended to the schools who will be participating, to our sponsors, to the St Peter’s College organizing committee who as always have worked tirelessly to ensure the success of this tournament and finally to our Sports Department whose commitment to this annual event goes above and beyond the call of duty.

It is a great privilege to welcome all participating teams to St Peter’s College for the 5th Annual Old Petrian’s T20 Cricket Festival.

This year the tournament is set to change direction. Keeping up with International standards and making sure that cricket regains its glory as a family orientated sport to be enjoyed outdoors. The fun aspect of cricket is to be magnified and we hope to see all the teams return in 2021 for an even more revamped version. 

I am sure that the old school cricketers still remember the slogan; “I don’t like cricket, I love it!”. 

We would like to wish every team success during this tournament, whether it is improving your own game, improving individual statistics, batting out 20 overs, taking that first wicket or in the end winning the tournament. May you all have a wonderful time on and off the field.
